I am looking to purchase a R–net programmer for the PC for my new Permobil, preferably the OME version. Does anyone know where to purchase one or does anyone have one to sell? Thank you for your help.

I have tried several sources including the website you gave me but no one has responded. Anybody have one to sell or know where to get one?

You can buy an R-NET Dealer Programmer from Frank Stape at http://www.electricwheelchairparts.com in the U.S.
The list shows a picture of the DTT which is incorrect; you actually get the Dealer level dongle, lead and Dealer programme disk. Cost is $366 + $25 shipping.

Is the dealer level dongle good for anything?

I know this is an old thread, but seemed like a good place to ask. I reviewed the manual in the post above, but it really doesn't answer the question of what is possible with the DEALER vs OEM dongle when using PC software. It has "*" next to things in the OBP, but I know that more options are available with PC software than OBP (setting the names of profiles for one). Is dealer PC access limited to JUST what is available via OBP? What parameters does OEM really get you to?

Dealer PC and OBP are the same thing. OEM is PC only and does all.

However it is possible to do oem programming with a dealer dongle. Just need oem software.

Thank you both, but you have left me with the same confusion and uncertainty if a dealer dongle will allow me to do what I need/want with my wife's wheelchair. I'm pretty sure what I want to do is possible with a dealer dongle except I know you can't change the names of profiles in OBP (parameter doesn't exist), but it does on PC (although it isn't exactly important, nor a dangerous parameter)...so not sure if PC with a dealer dongle allows that or not.

You can use the OEM software to make the changes to the hidden settings which the Dealer dongle doesn't show. However the Dealer dongle will write the OEM settings back to the PM. I believe this was discussed awhile ago with expresso in one of his mammoth threads

100% sure. It's a clunky way of doing it but it is possible.

So if you have a DEALER dongle and OEM software, you can change ALL the settings?

How does that work? Do you open a file in the OEM software without the dongle connected, make changes, and save it, then plug in the dongle/chair, and push the file to the chair (as opposed to loading the settings from the chair, changing them, and writing back to the chair)?

I'm guessing you mean you can't read back what the current OEM settings are on the controller with the DEALER dongle so you can blindly write them and assume the changes happen, but can't confirm it one way or the other?

That would be a bit clunky, but sure better than not able at all given the scarcity of OEM dongles.

I can deal with clunky! Yes, please send along the instructions on how it is done. I have software and looks like I'll just need to purchase a dealer dongle from Frank Stape's shop online here in the States.

I can confirm and echo what rover said. You can do OEM programming using a DEALER dongle if you have OEM software too. I also found out that in order to change settings specific to Permobil's ICS for seating, you need to use Permobil software...generic won't see those parameters. Luckily, the basic ICS settings are DEALER accessible so a DEALER dongle and Permobil DEALER software is all you need. From what I understand, any "OEM" ICS parameters require Wheelchair Builder software which I know nothing about and have read is impossible to get.

So does this mean with a dealer dongle for Quickie chairs you need OEM software
from Sunrise dealers to work.

Yup it'll work, expresso has done exactly that! I mean you can use any OEM software with the Dealer dongle.

Theres a lot of these floating about... But many need dongles, special cables etc. And some that are ahem, fixed... And there's various versions and incompatibilities, and some manufacturers are using modified firmware that is custom to them etc. It gets more involved by the year!
