EBay US... Not cheap though.

Maybe easier to get a used chair cheap...

Those Mk controllers won't work with Dynamic Dx Rem 551. Invacare would not let Dynamic Dx-Gb to be used on their chairs in the USA. I have to find one in Europe.

Dont know where you got that info. As far as I know the later mk6 ones work with all the latest joystick modules. Give dynamic a call and ask?

There are also 4 default templates for the rem550 and 551 with no actuators, and any combination of clam or DX in analog/digital mix and DX-GB modules... In the Wizard software.

Dear John,

If you have a Invacare GB powerchair you will have to use a GB controller not your old control system. You can not get a DX GB controller in North America because of Invacare does not allow Dynamic Controls to supply their DX GB control system only in Europe and Asia.

It will have to be a Invacare MK6i GB control system with a MK6i MPJ joystick and you will need a programmer or a SD ProCard. To set up the control system and calibrate the chair's motors. You would be looking about $1000.00.

$600.00 for refurbished GB controller, $400.00 for new MK6i MPJ joystick with SD ProCard. Not cheap. Invacare no longer makes GB chair anymore. In the last two weeks I have received four GB controllers to rebuild.

I can supply you the electronics, what version of electronics are you wanting?

Please let me know.

Domingo

Its not saying they wont work. It says they don't supply them. But they are on eBay and other places. At least thats how I read it. I would expect it to work fine. As long as you have access to the right profile or/and oem or service programmer.

And as for no longer making gearless brushless chairs any more, they are on sale in 9 countries!

Latest version 3 http://www.invacare.co.uk/sites/uk/file ... 8b45b3.pdf

http://www.invacare.co.uk/storm-4-x-plo ... sto4xttpen

When I called invacare they hadn't a clue. When I called dynamic and asked about the rem550 and brushless they said of course it works its out premier product! It better had! I asked as its not shown as an option on the prescription form. Theres a separate hidden options form for that! https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... Cg&cad=rja The only difference between 550 and 551 is an indicator/hazard button.

BM Thanks for the info. but I have Dynamic DX Rem551 and OEM programming. I still need a Dx-Gb controller unless I want to buy MK6i components and programming software that will cost me more. I can't find a Dx-Gb North America, however Rover on the site says he has one in the UK. I won't be able to play with this chair for a few months as it is outside in the Canadian winter and I am heading to California for 6 weeks.

I must be confused. What is DX-GB if not the ones on US ebay?
And why do you need different programming software for mk6i ?? Surely the same Wizard works? And your rem551.

I can't find a Dx-Gb North America,

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dx ... e&_sacat=0 what are these?

I understand the the mk6i was the first to have the controller contained in the same housing as the joystick.

the power module is stand alone

the mk6i will work with either brushed or brushless power modules

the power modules are different for brushed and brushless motors

there might be a third power module for the 2t brushless

I have no idea what a mk6 joystick has to do with any of this. We were talking about brushless power modules for brushless motors.

Like this MK6 one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Invacare-MK-6i- ... Swq7JUD3Ma

Which works with the REM550 or 551 or any modern DX joystick.

This is an older one, that may not be compatible with the rem550/551 but unsure. I could be.

Intended Use
The DX-GB is a component of the DX System intended to provide speed and direction control of dual, compatible 24V brushless motors and release of normally-activated park brakes located on a powerchair.
The DX-GB receives input commands from a DX Master Remote.
The wheelchair manufacturers are provided with all the integration, set-up, operating environment, test and maintenance information needed in order to ensure reliable and safe use of the controller.
Device Classification
Europe
The DX-GB Controller is a component of a Class I medical device as detailed in the Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning Medical Devices.
USA
The DX-GB Controller is a component of a Class II medical device (Powered Wheelchair) as detailed in 21 CFR § 890.3860.

Your REM551 is a DX remote...
To be sure, call dynamic. I am pretty sure you have no problem.
