I may be interested in many/all VS parts provided shipping can be done at reasonable cost. I am located in west Tennessee US.
My intent is to build myself an (actively stabilized) off road vertical stander that I can take on wet grassy hills.

My injury is incomplete cervical and lumbar but unstable. I need to avoid sitting upright whenever possible to keep weight off lower spine to prevent further loss of function.
My options so far have been:
recline/tilt so far that I cannot see where I am driving,
go nowhere standing frame with tiny wheels that cant handle sidewalk cracks,
prone cart with both problems plus inability to negotiate corners due to length.

I'd like advice from anyone familiar with using a VS. The chest straps don't look very substantial to me. Are they really holding up any substantial part of your weight as I would require? Or are the knee blocks just forcing your weight to be carried by your legs? That wont work for me, but I've already built a strong leather body harness that can hold me. Provided the upper part of the stander can support ~ 300lbs its just a matter of attachment.

Opinions? Am I just asking to be strapped under a pile of bent metal.

Yes.

You are going to need a more substantial design. And I dont think off road while stood is goung to work out well. And most standers dont have enough battery, or motor power (torque) for off road use.
