Couldnt get the Duro tyres, out of stock... So now have a similar construction, 120/70-8 tubeless set of these. Thats same 14.3 diameter, 5 inches wide, 4 ply, tubeless and so very stiff/strong construction and so no worries about punctures and long service life:

Now I got the stupid wheel adapter/spacer thing to make again!

And lithium all over... And a back/headrest.
And make smaller footplate.
And 1000 bolts to swap for stainless, and then find matching front casters!

Today 19/dec/2017, I paid for my new lift/tilt/recline/power centre footrest/black/r-net 120 with advanced colour joystick powerchair! Its not very urgent, and only for occasional/intermittent usage. In the meantime I am still trying to fix a sore on my cocxcxcxcxc or however its spelled!

Cant say how much or where from unfortunately, or I would have to kill you... But the price was very good!

Should be here about 22nd. Ish. Then wheels/tyres/programming/seat relocated and a lot of general tidying up. As usual. Like smaller footplate, replace most of the bolts with better/grease, replace sling back with something other. And lithium as long as it all works well till the spring.

Can someone lead me to a link to these? Are they available in 3.75 inch? Would Carlisle Turf Saver 4.80 - 8 that call for 3.75 rims be too pinched on 3.5"?

Summary?

They fit a gyro so that front drive becomes possible (but still steers odly) and on other chairs when you attempt to steer stupidly programmed powerchair in a straight line you dont suffer the delayed action over controlled swerving about. Personally I hate driving with gyro on, and couldnt disable it fast enough. Its not required if you have normal hand function and coordination with a properly programmed chair. It just removes feel and makes things worse.

They test with some added weight... Really.

They have fold back casters on front drive...

They programmed in a load of damping so cobbles dont cause your shaken hand to change direction. Which means it steers about 3 seconds after you tell it. Real solution is proper joystick hand/finger placement and position.

They have caster locks. Those are really not new. They have been available for years. I wouldnt want them, they are not required on a properly programmed chair as it goes exactly where its told anyway...

They have programmed in some speed reduction that automatically slows the chair (which I really dont want!!!) if you are going fast and try and turn. That is possibly useful on a front drive (unstable platform) powerchair.

In other words a load of band aids to try to cure the symptoms that are actually caused by low turn acc/dec settings.

Right. Delivery on 19th jan. Ordered 20th dec. So thats errrr, almost a month! Thats slow. But to be fair it includes xmas, new year as well and the germans dont work at xmas and new year

And it a mix of parts, and black paint, so a "build for me" option or 3 too. So I will excuse them. And the price was very good!

Now I have to rebuild it and chop off all the unwanted bits, narrow its single power footplate, move the lights inboard, reconfigure arms, reprogram it, swap its skinny wheels and tyres, batteries, seating position, joystick position, seat back replace, add the IOM and RC and external charge connections and vehicle tie down bolt... And test!

If its any good I might get a spare. Or a V4.
