Fitting Dahl to Permobil Corpus 500

I recently had a Dahl docking station fitted in my van so I can drive from my Quickie power wheelchair. Previously, I had a Permolock docking station, which I used with my Permobil corpus 500. The corpus 500 has a pin incorporated into the base that pops out when you press a button on the chair. However, this does not work with the Dahl docking station because it is a completely different system. What I was wondering is whether it is at all possible to fit the male parts of the docking station to the underside of my corpus so it will work with my Dahl docking station. Problem is, it would not have been crash tested, so I have my doubts whether it would be possible.

Its all just metal. Anything is possible. As long as its securely bolted it will be fine.

Possible I'm sure, getting it the right place so you sit in the correct place compared to the q7 will be a different matter.

Can be done with some measuring. I drive my chairs into my van. Then when in correct position, get my carer to measure or mark on the chair the position they it needs to go. Then fit the part in that position on the chair. You need only height and back/forward position.

When you want to drive from 2 different chairs it's more complex to get it right.

Tel me about it. All my chairs have a 16mm bolt in the right spot. But its easy enough if you have the vehicle outside to measure it in position.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. If the two chairs were identical, then it would not be an issue. However, one chair is mid-wheel drive and the other is front wheel drive. I think it will be a case of some careful measuring and then hopefully it could be feasible.

Mine are all different. But at least all are rear drive. So its basically just a bit of cut/weld a bracket and drill a few holes.

But he will remove all that old stuff, and fit the new Dhal part to the chair. So it shouldnt matter.
