Burgerman, sorry the first pack I plan on trying is a 3x7s with ncr18650pf cells. I'll look onto the power supply, but for lead, my pc1220 will have to do for now.
For Lthium Ion, cells (phone, laptop, type chemistry with 4.2V charge). SET CURRENT on charge and discharge to your prefered level. Usually 1/3rd to 1/2 pack capacity. All else inc cell count is automatic.
My lithium ion 2S camera Z8 battery is being charged right now. It has a BMS in it. So is being charged without cell balancing. At 1A to 4.140v per cell, with fast terminaton. Or about 95% charged. I charge many things with the PL8... Got 2 more to do. If they were to be stored rather than used I would charge to 80%. Because then they will last 1000s of cycles rather than a few hundred.
