Is it possible to configure the motors separately?

Well you cant set impedance or voltage seperatly so no not really. Terrible idea anyway. Not even wise to use an old and a new one that are the same as performance deteriorates over time so will drive oddly.

With a mind blowing improved 50A and has cooling holes etc which still wont pull the skin off a rice pudding.
But it will overheat easily and throttle back even further! :clap

Who knows what you get from china. I never even saw a VSI. They are no use for proper whelchair use so I never had any interest in them. Even at 50A which is about 70 short/missing it will just heat up and throttle back on a rehab type chair, fast! And it will stall out and refuse to turn. It has no thermal mass, nowhere to dump any heat. And it will be close to maxed out on say a hill or totally maxed out trying to turn in place. Those are usually used on small 2 pole motor chairs, like lightweight portable folding ones. Even then its a bit borderline.

Could the USB port be an outlet to recharge a mobile phone or similar?

Yes. Or a means of updating firmware to better or bug fixed ones. Dont know which. It doesent claim to be PGmanufactured but to replace one... Probably drives like crap!
