They have forgot about you.
You need to be calling them for updates and make a FORMAL complaint against your local OT department. You have been waiting too long.

"There is a target in place for patients to be assessment and wheelchairs to be delivered to them within 18 weeks of a referral, but thousands of patients across England were forced to wait for longer. "

They will make it hard to complain. In your complaint tell them how it has effected you and ask them why you have been forced to wait so long.

Like how many they employ in WS, the average waiting time for assessment, the average wait for a powerchair after assessment, their budget.......

I emailed yesterday because its 6 weeks post assessement!! I asked what they were playing at, told them that I could have ordered a chair and sold it again twice in that time, told them I would be dead soon. And to get back to work. Then rang them and did it all over again. You must chase them at least every few days and make them respond.

In the real capirtalist free market world, if one of my customers called me at 2am on a sunday I would answer the phone and be there next day to SELL him whatever he wanted. I would garantee that he got whatever widget he wanted because HIS MONEY was required to pay for all my busness overheads, pay bills, pay wages.

In a socialist system like the NHS or the Local Council, you are not their priority. They get their money dropped in at the top by helicopter to be shared out regardless of if they actually perform well, or is you get your chair tomorow. Next year or theone after is fine as it doesent affect them at all. They have no reason to care about you at all. They see their main job as making THEIR OWN job or lives easier. Ever more layers of handholding, assessements, panels, group think, working 3 days a week from home, meetings with cake, nice warm offices and new staff vehicles, extended benefits like paterity time off, holidays, cake and typing on a computer etc. Because they do not need your cash. You and your needs or requirements are not their main interest. You are a nusance ruining their day. Talking and group assessements where they push some paper and responsibility from department to department and finding ever more advanced ways of wasting taxpayers money or having extra layers of management take priority.

Around half a dozen work at this WHS full time. Or rather they might is they were not sat at home "working"... For months at a time.

The Occupational Therapist informed me on the last visit it was discussed the Ditez REP was starting at the beginning of April, they are aware of the queries in your email and will be in touch shortly as they are not in the office until next week.

So nobody there for about a week. And there are loads of administrators pushing paper that do not appear to understand english. And we do not need a rep. Even if they do, its no longer the begining of april that was 3 weeks back. I can order a car, a carpet, food to be delivered, in 1 hour. A chair in 1 hour too. Why cant they? This all started last summer. As I said. YOU are not the one payig them. You are not priority. They get paid anyway. So they are at home. Socialism is evil and it destroys everything.
