Depends on what you mean by work. They are great at hitting a solid rock or something or a raised drain cover and either stopping the chair dead or spitting you out over the top. They work at that. As for curb climbing they are pretty useless. All my chairs have had them. First thing to do is to save weight and file in in the round filling cabinet outside.
Then program it and move the seat back so you can accelerate to lift the front wheels up and the rear follows. Much like any self respecting manual chair user does.
