I have an OLD model 1307-2101 that can change the dealer settings and the OEM settings. .. you'll need to find out if it's compatible with the NEW Enable 40.
http://www.fsip.biz/Documents/Curtis1307_1311manual.pdf

I can also point you towards a copy of the Curtis Model 1314 PC Programming Station ...unfortunately this requires a "special" cable to allow coms between the PC and the controller.

I'm not familiar with the Enable 40.... everything I've programmed has used the 4 pin molex.

Here's what I can find...communication and programming is via the RX and TX ..

It would seem that you really should get the genuine Curtis CAN/RS232 cable / interface for the Enable controller...this might prove difficult/impossible/expensive.

Woody, You are right " impossible " and Pride don't care. They just want to sell chairs, not programme them to work. Absolute Crap Chairs.

1311-4401 OEM programmer. (the broadest access to parameters and system values).

Curtis does make the Q-logic stuff, but I've heard conflicting information about if the Curtis programmers will talk to the Q-logic controllers. It's similar to how the Dynamic programmers don't talk to the Invacare controllers.

The rental seems like a cheap way to find out.

You could be right about the possible non talking together ...
I have however spent sometime trawling the web and the various pdf's and I'm 95% convinced that the Curtis programmers will chat to the Q-logic ..MC2 ..ENABLE 40 or whatever rebrand names been used. http://www.southwestmedical.com/replace ... lectronics

Oh well ive had the engineer from ottobock here today and he has made a difference to the chair
it will now turn at low speeds which is a great improvement around my home, so i will give it a proper
test around the village where i live tommorow and fingers crossed i will have no mishaps,
and to be fair the engineer said should i have anymore problems he will come out to me
when they are in my area next month.

Re: curtis enable programmer

Postby woodygb » 21 Jul 2011, 10:56

I contacted Curtis UK last week and used my ownership/use of the 1307 as a means of legitimising my enquiry ...firstly via the technical helpdesk.

I have a 1307 programmer that I've been mainly using on mobility scooter controllers..it's been superseded by the 1311 or the 1314 PC Programming station.

So my question is can the 1307 still "talk" to the new generation controllers like the Enable 40 or is there an add on option that will allow it to?

I doubt that my usage justifies the cost of either new option...I would however appreciate a rough price guide for the various new options

the reply was ..

Hi Mr. Wood,
The 1307 can still be used for the older controllers. It can not be used with the later controllers. There is no add-on so a 1311 will be required or you could wait a few weeks and have the very latest unit, the 1313.

Hope this helps.

I then forwarded the conversation together with the price enquiry to sales.

I've just had a "word" with A C...per ..see attached...

I wondered if you could be so kind as to give me a price for..

1311 hand held
1314 PC programming station .. software and cables
The "NEW" 1313 hand held.

Best Regards

Alan Wood
