Hi can anyone help me with windows pc programmer software suitable for PG Drives as in Pride Gogo.
I understand the USB diagram and can make the lead shown on here alone question is if this requires a USB driver or is this part of the software.
I have a Gogo here that is doing around 7 mph, it is just so dangerous so want to reduce the top speed.

Any advice on the exact pin to pin for leads would be great.
I have the diode and 33k that is the value suggested now

I use 47k on all my builds.
The USB Driver will ...or should ..be loaded automatically by Windows.

The software requires YOU to select the Comms port number and the programming software only recognises ports 1-8 inclusive.

No go go will be doing 7mph. They are a 4mph scooter.

I have acquired another Spinergy ZX1 which is a power assist driven by a VR2 but my PC programmer software shows the connection comms active and then very quickly to comms inactive repetitively. My previous VR2 joystick is fine and constantly shows comms active when plugged into the new Spinergy ZX1 VR2 controller.

The cable from the new joystick has a white disconnection plug or join and I'm just wondering whether this could be part of the problem in connecting. The only other alternative in my mind would be the XLR plug may be not being completely seated in the new VR2 joystick. I don't know about that theory.

I have two baofeng uv 5 cables that work perfectly well other than in this new joystick.

Thanks for any assistance.

You could try making a lead using the 3v3 FTDI cable.... I use a 33k resistor on all MY builds... but it was reported that a 47k was required by a member.

Thanks Woody. Here a couple of pictures of the connection so it's a solo plug I assume.
I will source the parts and see if a sparky friend of mine could do it as a favour or I'll be in touch.

cheers

Newbie here, interested in changing programming for an older VSI (D5112.03) on a Hoveraround MPV5.
What all is required to go between a laptop/pc and the XLR charge port?
USB adapter, (RS232 or RS485?) + pull up resistor and diode?
Software?
Thank you for your help, our aunt is in her 70's with crippling arthritis, can't get around by herself any longer, and not strong enough for a manual chair.
We just bought this chair used, was missing the batteries and harness, put a 40A breaker in series between the two used AGM's, and rewired for Anderson type power connectors.
Chair is working well, but the delay and reverse speed are going to be difficult for her to manage.

The pic a couple of posts up is the one you need to copy / make / buy.

You also require the P.C. Software .

Thank you so much! One question before I order the TTL-232R-3V3-WE cable..
Would a USB to serial cable work (have one in my box of cables)?

Nope ... Different signal protocols.

TTL is required.

UPDATE
Found a Baofeng programming cable, it uses the CH340G chip, 3 wire.
In this thread, found a mention of diode only, so soldered in the 1N4148, downloaded the serial/usb driver from sparkfun for CH340 (win laptop)
Changed serial port in software.. realized I had to turn ON the joystick to communicate ;)
Success!
Downloaded the controller profile, saved a copy to my desktop just in case.
Accel 30, decel 50, turn accel 25, turn decel 65, Forward 85/30, Reverse 55/35, Turning 17/17
Power 100,
Min accel/decel/turn accel/decel = all 100%
To change the program, do I simply enter new values then click the UP arrow?
Not sure how profiles work, but only one profile has values in the table.
Goal is to take out delays (avoid over compensation) and slow down reverse for our elderly Aunt.
Thank you for helping!
PS is it possible/recommended to post pictures?

The number of profiles can be set ...depends what you need.

UP arrow ...if you hover over it it should say " writes files to controller"

Can you see the Help files? ...if not download this ..

download/file.php?id=11658

UNZIP and run INSTALL as administrator.

Post pics if you want.

Installed winhlp, now can see the help files!
Programming seems to work fine - except when I try to change acceleration above 35, get a warning:
"The Acceleration Profile 1 parameter is not within range (5 to 35)
For this controller and will be programmed to a value of 35.
Not a deal breaker, I was able to slow down reverse substantially, make it less jerky, and feel the chair will be much more friendly for a non tech 70 something year old lady.
Taking her the chair tomorrow evening.. will be there several days to hopefully get her comfortable.
Thank you again for all the help!

Has Grandma ever driven? ... If so try to explain to her that the joystick is a combined steering wheel and accelerator not a STOP / GO direction switch..

Scroll down the program settings and have a look at the Abs settings under FACTORY... make them all except min power =100% .

Hi all!
I have a question about setting up the DA50-A41 remote.
The remote has 5 speed modes, and there are only 2 profiles in the settings. How do they relate to each other?

I never looked into that. I only ever needed one profile as soon as the thing was programmed correctly in every different manufacturers system.

If you really have only 2 profiles (rather than scrolling further right?) then they will be spread equally across the other three. So if top speed is 50 on profile one, and 100 on profile 2. (really 5!). So then then 2 will be 65approx, 3 will be about 75, 4 about 85.

But I think you are looking at the software wrong. Dont currently have it installed, maybe someone can verify.

There is definitely no scrolling. And both profiles are almost the same (screenshot in my previous post).

I only know that with turn acceleration and turn deceleration set to those levels you wont ever hit a doorway...

Set turn acceleration and turn deceleration to maximum (typically 70 and 100) and it might go whre its pointed...

Speed modes, are not the same thing as profiles. I suspect you only have 1 working profile. And thats all you want!

I figured it out, thanks!
It was confusing that in the NewVSI the range is set not only speed (like here), but also acceleration.
