There is NO need to play with any of the Com port settings.
One flashing led suggests a low battery charge.
I'm not sure what is wrong or if the Adafruit board will actually work.
Opening software shows 'Unable to open serial port'. Tools - Comms - all options show 'Unable to open comms port'

R-net doesent ask for a serial port. So I suspect you are using the wrong software?
Sorry guys but Windows10-illiterate old bloke needs help again.
Have Rnet dongle connected and for the past six hours have been trying to get Comms Active with no success.

Was in reference to this! You cannot connect R-net dongle to anything BUT r net. Therefor greybeard has the wrong software!

The batteries are 100% charged, it is due to a problem with the joystick since if I make some movements in it and switch to led 5 of the speed level.
I do not think they are batteries because they are new and just charged.
I wanted to connect to the OEM because that way I would observe particular faults, but I still do not achieve it.
Any way to communicate with CAN BUS?

And on a chair with R-net controller?
greybeard wrote:Thanks for trying to help mate but you are mixing up my posts with someone else's. The photo you are referring to was not posted by me.
The chair I'm working on definitely has an Rnet controller. I have used this same dongle and software on it before' admittedly on a different PC, so I know it can work.
I just wish someone - anyone - could tell me how to assign a comms port in Windows 10. Please!

Yes, I am. These are screenshots which hopefully will convince you I am using the correct Rnet software.
expresso wrote:Rnet software - looks like this - the one you posted is Pilot Plus software - maybe VSI also can be used with it - but its not Rnet software - needs to look like this Picture for R net
THAT IS NOT THE R-NET SOFTWARE.
