Thank you, Woody. I'll begin my search. Will the Dongle work for both the F3 and F5vs (if you know)?

The model of chair means nothing to me ..... the control system attached to the model is what I need to know.

Yes. All. But if its got a stability module fitted its not a simple job to program it so it steers well. You cant just change the obvious settings...

Send me a file from your chair so I can take a look.

Normally you do this. In this order...

As much as I'd love to get help with a file, don't I need to get the dongle set up to get the file to send?
Or is there an onboard way of doing this (which I doubt).
Regardless, that link will give me a good place to start.

Hi guys,
We're trying exactly this to try and program a Jazzy Select 6. I have a few different recent versions of the programmer software (14.6 and 14.4.3), and what looks like the exact cable from Woody's diagram.
I can see on the oscilloscope that the app sends a transmission, and the chair replies, but the app doesn't seem to notice.
The app never says anything except COMMS INACTIVE.
Attaching the oscilloscope capture.
Any ideas we could try? I'm open to anything at this point. Quadruple checked the wiring, tried different resistor values, even different diodes.
Thanks for any ideas :)

PS: also attaching picture of controller. It has an XLR port.

Its a weedy PG drives option though - an all in one 40A thing for folding and ultra lightweight toy chairs isnt it? Are they made only for pride? Cant say I take a lot of notice of such things as they are not any use to us really here. So mobility programmer wont takl to it?

Rover20: Yeah, I think it is a GC2 or GC3... Not sure how to tell which one.

Burgerman: Mobility Programmer is not talking to it.

Woody: I'm not sure what the chipset is. The chip in the chair says PGDT PM P78329.

Thanks!

I meant the chip in your programming cable.... The cables that use a Prolific chip OR a cloned ( non genuine ) FTDI can be problematic.

Rover is suggesting that your Pride version is incompatible with PGDT's software ...he maybe correct.... however is there any chance of checking your lead and software on another PGDT equipped chair?

NOTE:- That your control system is not found / or is extremely rare ..over here in the U.K.

the gc3 used on very basic low end chairs, more popular than you might think

I've tried a few different programming cables. The one where I actually get a reply from the chair (on the o-scope) is a TTL-232R-3V3-WE (says that it has an FT232R). I've also tried one that was a Prolific (clone) and that one didn't get a reply.
It is this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010K ... UTF8&psc=1

Unfortunately I don't have any other chairs to troubleshoot with.

Thanks!

I feel like the Mobility Programmer app should work for this Jazzy Select 6.
If I look at this webpage here, (this is the hardware-based programmer for sale), and it says it supports the Jazzy Select 6, and that "This kit allows programming for the Pilot, Pilot+, VSI, and VR2 control systems."
So that implies this chair has one of those 4 control systems, which is what the software is supposed to be able to program too.

I have no idea why you cannot program your controller ..other than anecdotal information that suggests Pride has somehow made it difficult.

Hello guys!

It's an absolut blast to read here and it helped me to program my Paravan R-Net wheelchair.
Now there is one question that I have, which isn't really important but I am just curious:

When the LCD-R-Net Joystick boots/starts, there is a startup screen showing the logo of the manufactor Paravan. Is there a way to insert a different logo and if yes, how? Via OEM Software for R-Net I don't find a way.

Cheers!

Thers no way that I know. There has to be a way, but you may need a version of the software that only PG drives have...

Have 3 of the latest joysticks here, metal shell, large bright colour ones. All of them are Sunrise (quickie/zippy) logo ones. I would like my own...

Or generic PG Drives ones.

These by the way can be found quite cheaply. Super bright and colourful, plug and play swap for your LCD version.

Logo will be in the firmware. If you have a way to get that on and off you will be able to take it apart and insert your own images.

can only be done by pgdt. you can change the logo on a dx rem550 just for reference

To be honest: I opted for the smaller and older LCD-Version, because I find it easier to drive under tables and stuff and it's not so hard to reach the bottons.

But yeah, must be then the firmware. I was curious it might have to do with these "sequential files"? Maybe I will start and investigat the dongle it self. Would be cool to emulate them and only need a direkt cable. We will see.
