Not in an easy "monoblock" lead brick replacement with built in BMS it wont. At least with current technology.

IF cells become more compact, then they will be able to make 60Ah or 70Ah LiFePO4 blocks the same size.. But by using the same cell technology as a seperate cell system, like the headways, A123s, etc and an external battery management system then you will still be far ahead in the capacity/volume race. Built into dumbed down one size suits all blocks/ BMS systems will always waste space and be less than optimised. But its free so why not try it as long as you understand that it will not improve over lead, and may die sooner or have BMS reliability issues.

This along with heated trousers, and heated and insulated gloves and balaclava should keep me warm! If it wasnt so expensive I would buy one. As it is I will stay in and turn up the heat!

When I built my BM3 pack, the headways, or CALB cells were around half or less cost than any variation on A123s. That made them unafordable. Good cells, but at over double the cost who cares?
