As far as I know, like pride its kept under lock and key. So nobody has and thats the issue. And why I said a lot of posts back that it would stop me ever buying permobil. Or pride for the same reason. No proper programming access possible.

The PERMOBIL version wont have that SUNRISE option, and all those settings. It will have the ICS menu items instead.
You may be able to see some of them in the OBP on the joystick. Because that too will be Permobil specific. But it will only show you some settings. Enable On Board Programming. Then look on the Joystick for limited ICS options instead.

I see MagicMobility chairs use Rnet. Do you know if this is an issue with the V6? I may be getting it toward the end of the year.

I have been kindly provided with the OEM R-net programmer but I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind supplying me with the Sunrise R-net OEM programmer.

Much appreciated

Burgerman wrote:Another thing thats worth knowing. The sunrise version, and possibly other branded versions if we find them, have a good few extra tech setting options missing from the OEM version.

One example, the generic OEM has no option to set max output voltage to the motors. Default 21.6. The sunrise one allows a speed increase, if adjusted upwards to say 23.5V for lead, or 25.5V for lithium. Doesent sound much. But with the lack of voltage sag on lithium, makes a 6.2mph chair do about 7mph. And an 8mph chair do 9,3 according to my math. And expresso/snaker...

There must be another restriction as I put my voltage up to 23.5V from 21.6V and there was no speed increase.

The speed can only increase IF THE BATTERY VOLTAGE IS HIGHER Than you chose.

If you use lead with relatively high impedance like MK gel or worse, the battery voltage can be anything from 26V to 20V depending on hills, gearing, state of charge, etc. Because as you load the battery its voltage drops.

Consider these two settings:
1. Setting it to say 20V when you have 25V at the battery allows 5V headroom for steering. (the outer wheel in a turn must SPEED UP and the inner one slow down) But the chair will be limited to 20V in straight lines.

2. Setting it to 30V means that at full speed you are using ALL the battery voltage (20 to 26) already. But the chair will go as fast as the battery will allow it to travel in straight lines.

So the actual effect this setting has depends on the actual battery voltage at the time, which varies due to, state of charge, battery capacity, internal restance, terrain, hills, peukert etc. So that it may or may not increase speed. Esp going up hill. If set high, you will be allowed to go faster downhil for eg. But it may have no affect uphill as the battery voltage falls below what you set/changed anyway.

Where it makes a massive difference is with high rate lifepo4 battery such as many of us use. Thats a solid 25.x volts, regardless of load, peukert, etc. So setting this voltage to 25V does increase speed even uphill.

Heres the problem. THEY think that we are incapable of using an OEM programmer so they will not sell one to you. We are not "allowed". Even the dealers generally dont have them. So its extremely hard to buy. But if you buy a dealer version, theres a workaround that allows us to make the OEM work, and to finally get the chair to steer properly. PM me.

expresso, you can't upload big files in a PM, you have to use online storage like dropbox, googledrive, etc... and share the link in the PM :)

Hi everyone, I'm so happy to have found this discussion! I'm currently going through all this with my new Sunrise wheelchair and the CJSM2 joystick, and since there are some adjustments I'd like to make, I was looking for a way to program it myself.

Could someone point me out where to find an R-Net dongle, as well as the needed pc software?

Thank you so much!!

The software is easy. The dongle is not. You must buy one unfortunately.
