I mean it's why I LOVE (not live) North America.
Sorry.
If I wanted to say I'm living in North America, I should write:
Again, it's why I live IN North America.
Or at least I think, but my english is not very accurate.

So you still live in socialist france ruled by the EU.

Oh I agree. We should never have joined the eu. Originally we were told it was a trade agreement, only. We were lied to by the establishment.

But instead it was gradually turned into a huge centrally controlled new form of communism. With centrally controlled socialist economics while the individual nations have more and more power removed.

I wanted out of the damned EU superstate socialism at least 25 years once I began to realise what it really was. Now we have our sovereign country back. We make the our own rules. Our own taxes. We decide with who and how to trade with others. We dont want or need the EU. A bunch of unelected beurocrats telling us what we are allowed to do.

At very least vote le penn!

Socialist France ... With Mac Ron president ...
I suggest U to search who is Mac Ron.
He's all but for sure and definitely NOT a socialist.

Well, I think that has no connection with the actual post ....

He is totally pro EU. Which by definition is a socialist economic organisation. Since the rich countries all pay for the poor ones. So only a socialist would want to be any part of that. And like all socialists he embraces big government. So he is a liberal, and a socialist with some minor right leaning ideas.

Despite all the respect I've for U, BurgerMan, I think it's better if you're helping us with your huge knowledge in wheelchair world, than speaking about politic ...
Because, believe me or not, writing Mac Ron is sosialist is really a huge bullshit.
This fucking man, Mac Ron, is a fucking capitalist, and not a good one, because, in my opinion, capitalists could be good. But this guy is from the worst race of Homo Sapiens. Once again, that is my opinion -but not only mine ....-

And EU is all except socilist ''team''.
Ask Portugal, Greece, even many people from France, and they will explain U if EU is better for them of for guys like Mac Ron and his friends ....

Well, time to go back to the main goal of this post ....

The EU is by the very definition of its operation a very closed and protectionist market. Thats socialism.
The EU is by definition socialist since it takes money from the rich countries and gives it to the poor.
The EU is socialist because it has many layers and huge government with massive levels of rules regarding trade and manufacture anp promotes things like a high minimum wage. All socialists valies.
Macron while being capitalist in regards the elites in france, and because france has huge 56% public spending and existing very protectionist system for employment has no choice. So some reforms of this make he look capitalist to the french. But thats all incompatible with his ideals. He is one of the biggest promotors and greatest believers in the very socialist EU. So you are wrong in the big picture. He is also a very nasty confused little man that wants to be like the queen. And admired as some head of state.

Yes back to wheelchairs.

espite all the respect I've for U, BurgerMan, I think it's better if you're helping us with your huge knowledge in wheelchair world, than speaking about politic ...

If that was a Britsh road it wouLd have been full of traffic. Beats me how your roads are all but deserted. Or how it can be financially viable to build them.

That road looks a more comfortable ride than some of the roads round here in North Norfolk. The B1105 is particularly bad! :fencing

My dad had the same thought as yours. When he was still working, he frequently crossed this pass. He remember that it used to be difficult. The road was narrow and bad with only a little asphalt. He usually took a half or a full hour to cross it. He is surprised because the road is now large and nice but completely empty. The main reason is that there is a tunnel road under the pass, all vehicles choose it. Only petrol trucks use the pass road because they are not allowed in the tunnel road.

In vietnam maybe their centrally controlled government built it - bad typical socialist planning. That money was wasted on an expensive road that isnt used.

In the UK a period of time did make it worse. The fact that we are not a very socialist country and have a mostly capitalist free market has allowed the UK to become rich enough to afford many cars. And the fact that we are a very densely populated island means that theres lots of traffic! And of course socialist tony blair opening the floodgates to millions of gimmigrants, and starting the green socialism made it worse. Fortunately most of the imigrants are still in the now socialist south in our once great capital. Where its hard to spot a white native british face. And now its been made so expensive (green nonsense, clean air zones, congestion charging, taxation, and crazy overpriced fuel) to drive that many no longer do. Relying instead socialist run gov subsidised buses and trains, if they actually do run... And typically they are broken or on some sort of strike.

Yep, we can see waste very where, consequences of socialism and now irony capitalism. But thing are getting improved and better in VN since 20 years ago. It still needs a lot more time to keep up the level of the West.

This pass holds some historic values. It used to be the border between Dai Viet ("Great Viet" former name of Vietnam) and Champa 1000 years ago. Later Vietnam used to be divided into 2 parts North-South in 200 years. The river that divided the country is about 20km from this pass. The pass's location is next to the sea and the beaches here are really beautiful. I think they have good reason to make a nice road here to serve for tourist and also to recall people about history. I only do not understand why tourists ignore this place.

The problem is your history and the fact that you still have no free democratically elected government or control. Central planing never works. Only parties that are affiliated with the communist party can stand... Once this is fixed you may have a free country with free economics and become like most wealthy western countries. FREEDOM means free markets and freedome to buy, sell, hire and fire, borrow, invest, worldwide. Without a centrally controlled government deciding to build expensive roads that are unused with YOUR money. Yes you have some improvements in the last 20 years. But are held back. And for e.g cannot buy AMD stuff for e.g. as you recently explained.

Wiki
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a one-party state. A new state constitution was approved in April 1992, replacing the 1975 version. The central role of the Communist Party was reasserted in all organs of government, politics and society. Only political organizations affiliated with or endorsed by the Communist Party are permitted to contest elections. These include the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, worker and trade unionist parties. The President of Vietnam is the titular head of state and the nominal commander-in-chief of the military of Vietnam, chairing the Council on National Defense and Security. The Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyễn Xuân Phúc is the head of government, presiding over a council of ministers composed of three deputy prime ministers and the heads of 26 ministries and commissions.

The National Assembly of Vietnam is the unicameral legislature of the government, composed of 498 members. It is superior to both the executive and judicial branches, but not to the Communist Party. All members of the council of ministers (executive branch) are derived from the National Assembly. The Supreme People's Court of Vietnam, which is the highest court of appeal in the nation, is also answerable to the National Assembly. Beneath the Supreme People's Court stand the provincial municipal courts and the local courts. Military courts are also a powerful branch of the judiciary with special jurisdiction in matters of national security. All organs of Vietnam's government are controlled by the Communist Party. Most government appointees are members of the party. The General Secretary of the Communist Party is perhaps one of the most important political leaders in the nation, controlling the party's national organization and state appointments, as well as setting policy.

For e.g. Other countries use the free market to promote themselves across the world as holiday destinations. They use free enterprise, freedom to borrow to build huge holiday complexes with luxury hotels and get themselves put into travel brochures in western countries. Into high street travel shops. Promoted in travel agencies etc. That doesent happen, or barely happens. Vietnam barely gets a ention compared to many other places. Not enough freedom or investment in tourism. That could bring your country a lot of income.

Same with china, but people are very wary of individual freedoms that dont exist there. Dont know about vietnam. It puts off people that do have real freedom, and rights from going to places that dont.
