nice - how do you like it that model - can you change those batteries as they run out ? or and does it allow you to charge as you shoot the video ? the way i do it is i keep my external charger connected to my camera all the time as i ride and video so i never have to change a battery - and it works fine this way for me -

i heard some GoPro models - dont allow you to change batteries or charge while shooting - i dont know if this is true or not - also how do you remove the video from your Card when done - i heard you have to use there program to remove it etc,

can you just connect it to the PC - open the folder and just cut and paste off the SD card to your PC - ?

All go pros can charge as you use them, and appear as a hard disk. So treat as any other folder.

The one in my quadcopter (3, black, 1080p and 60fps) doesent even have a battery in it. It is powered by the quads flight battery. After a tiny 5v regulator. Via its USB connection. And it feeds a live image to my goggles on the ground through the same USB connector if I want.

Image

THIS sends picture back several miles to my laptop or my video goggles.

Image

Cheap ebay connector lead gives easy access to record, or use the video signals or power the go pro cameras.

For eg, you could use my 5v USB supply below to run it indefinitely from the chairs charge connector.

Can be used with the stock gopro charge cable...

ok pretty cool - i have read or was told - the batteries cant be changed out - - if thats true or not i dont know - but either way - i would want to just connect my external battery to it the same way i do to my camera now -

mines is mounted on the left side with the battery connected and at my side of the chair cushion out of the way - and it lasts for ever - after 4 to 5 hours of recording - its sill only half empty - and the battery in the camera is Full -
works perfect for my needs so far this way -

You CAN get them on utube at that resolution, but its a fight. Use HTML5 rather than that awful adobe flash, choose highest res, and watch! And grab it and turn to MP4...

Thats where I got it. But they default to a low res compressed mess.

My 13 inch laptop has a silly 3200x1800 screen resolution. Seems a bit wasted on utube!

Hi all

What are wheel locks? And whats rattling all the time? Sounds like its coming apart!

I do not hear any of that rattle as I am going along, I think it must be because the camera was set down low with an open back case and a hole in the side of it to plug in power cable.

The wheel locks as described by Otto Bock are to assist with going up ramps and into lifts etc. The wheel locks prevent the casters from turning. I have got used to having them on now full time as they do have a small amount of play in them. I have made short video for demonstration of wheel locks on and off. https://youtu.be/gKtOYCNjpIA

I just upgraded a new camera which allows to record videos at 2K@30fps :D

In these days the weather gets too hot and dry (40oC in shade). I cannot go out to test the camera in day light. I only can take videos in nights. They are 2K but after uploading on youtube, the resolution is reduced down to 320p. Is it due to recording in a low light condition?

Here are the original videos. My PC screen's resolution is lower than 1080p, I cannot check if they are true 2K.

It's YI dashcam, a Chinese brand. It has 2 versions (Chinese and International). Mine is the Chinese version.

I see amazon is selling the international version. Through some reviews, users said the international version had to pass US/EU standards. So, it is made of better hardware and has better built quality. It's also more expensive than the Chinese version.

Seriously you are going to get mashed under a truck or something. You need 3x more speed and lights.

The chair had full lights but I asked the seller remove them. I do not want they eat any Ah from my small battery pack. And the wires (for lights) look ugly and unsafe. Do you mean "mashed" at the time point when I crossed the street and was close a big truck? It's not dangerous as it looks. My most scary thing on roads is female car drivers. If I see long hair through a car's windows (glasses?), I have to stop the chair immediately or run away from that mad car at least 100m

LED lights take just a few mA and would run for weeks on a wheelchair battery.

Seriously you are not safe at that speed women drivers or men! Esp if they dont see you. Half the bikes dont even have lights. They would all be pulled over by the police here! Thats why your roads are massively more dangerous! Nobody cares! :D

EG my red rear lights .9w each. Bright front projector LED lights 3W each. Total 8w.
8 watts means just 0.3A from your battery. Or 3 full hours of light for only 1Ah... Or get bycicle lights.

My range record is 51km. I drained my 50Ah battery pack till its last Ah. The charging time was 4.5 hours @ 10A. So, I guess the real capacity of the pack is only 40-45Ah => a good reason to home-make a DIY pack next time.

Here is a video recorded by my new camera. It's an empty road which is right on a dike, along a river.

Thats good. Thats what you would expect from a 50Ah lithium battery in a 7 mph chair.
You would need a 90 to 100Ah lead battery to do that.

Think, how far would my 120Ah battery take you? You are doing approx 1km per Ah. So 120km? Now you know why you need a bit more speed!

Or Nandols 190Ah one. Which he cant ship to Portugal... How far away from ShirleyHK are you? Road shipping no problem! Maybe you can do a deal...

Yes, I am dreaming of 120Ah pack. If it's done by your way, its real capacity would be true 120Ah. So the range might reach 150km. I also see speed and range must come together. A 150km range would need a very high speed about 20-30kph.

It seems Nandol is having a shipping trouble of his super big battery pack? Did he try sea-shipping to a seaport? The rules for sea-shipping are much easier. Hope to see his range record with his 190Ah pack

I don't know. Maybe he will read this.

My 15mph chair is 24kph and still experimental but it feels very fast for safe control with tank steer/casters. You need a flat smooth surface like a good road to make use of it. Mostly you go about 8 to 12 mph max unless on an exceptionally good section of road.
