Paul- Thanks for the videos. On that last one, what are the thick red signs all along the river wall? The camera lens angle makes it hard to make out what they are.

It's the stabilization. Recording while riding requires a camera with a good built-in stabilization.

Yes, london is mostly immigrants. They bring them in with them. Makes them feel at home!

Stabilization.
It is stabilisation not speed that gives smooth video. This bot is a tiny, 9 inches between wheels, no suspension. It bounces around like a pea on a drum. But I used a little cheap chinese copy go-pro look alike, but with built in image stabilisation. Watch the front wheels, and the horizon. The bot moves and wobbles, the camera remains steady. (SJCAM 5000X Elite). This stabilization is built in to the camera. It actually moves the sensor around.

Hi All

New video, Keston lakes to Bromley. I'd give it a moment if you go to view it, still showing as 360p.

Is your Otto Bock B500 8MPH? What type of range do you get with your batteries and add on?

I leave this out at night. Then can patrol my property while laid on bed. 10.8Ah lithium Battery powers bot and camera for days. It sends its picture back to my laptop or FPV goggles as I drive via 5.8ghz radio. I see what it does. Good for checking out the whole area at night.

It does image stabilization by moving the sensor so that no loss of clarity or edges. No gimble needed.

Also, NO stabilisation, my street from 150 feet.

That's a cute little bot, could you tell me what type it is? Have you gotten your new chair yet BM?

I havent ordered the chair yet.

The bot is a set of polulu motors, 2x 4S 5.2Ah lipos, a small roboteq adc2160 controller running lennies script, and 2 5A current sensors, and a set of wheels from ebay. In a modified chassis like the linxmotion ones. But those are hard to find without including rubbish motors etc all as a kit. And a cam, LED lights, RC reciever, 600mw 5.8ghz tx, etc. In other words you can get all the bits but its a project!

Hi Dan

The Otto Bock b500 is 6mph. With add-on a safe 30 miles, can push it a bit further if required but like to keep discharge low.

yeah dirt bikes were great - i recall having the best time back then with dirt bikes - i had a few - at first those street / dirt kind which sucked really - i took one jump - crashed and broke all the lights on it :D

i knew then - i needed the real deal - and got a honda CR80 at the time - i was a Kid then - problem was - we didnt have much dirt tracks to ride - i had to travel to get to one which was just a dump that was turned into a makeshift track
worked fine - every weekend - a dozen or so would show up to ride -

Hi All

New video of day out last Sunday when I went to watch family take part in a five-mile run.

Knole park, Sevenoaks very hilly so not that wheelchair friendly but doable.

Lovely place lots of deer roaming free. Nice mansion and café with disabled toilets.

@Paul: At the begin of the video, I see you get in the train by a yellow ramp. Can you estimate how long it is? And what is it made of? Metal or carbon fibber? Because I see it is very light.

At 34:46 that is an odd color for a Rolls Royce

Hi Hobie1dog

According to the wife it looks red or fuscia, have to agree, strange colour for a Roller.

Thank you for your comments Hobie1dog.

Hi BM

It was cold but not for me. Keis heated vest, heated gloves and feet warmers with the voltage turned up a bit.
All run from a 3s12p 18650 setup fixed under the chair.
Good idea for little video project.

nice - i got a heated windbreaker style jacket also - but mines really dosnt do much outdoors - the elements are not large enough on mines - and unless its close to your body - i dont feel the heat on the front chest area on mines
but the one on the back i feel it since i am leaning back on it - i realize i think it works best when closest to your body - large elements and high heat -

i would like to see how you made your battery for it - because the ones i have dont last too long on high setting - and they cost expensive if i have to replace it - i most likely wont replace it when its dead - and just use the jacket as is -

i dont mind because i liked the jacket either way - heat or no heat -
