i have a couple of photos but can't post them as they are too big. But I went with him for a 30km ride and that chair is a thing of beauty. It flies, it is quiet, polished and I will copy his recepie. He basically coupled Bounder's 48v controller to their hi-torque motors attached to 90A/h lithium pack. He housed the whole thing in heavily modified and shortend Bounder frame, built himself a seat and changed the wheels and a beast was born. It cost him aproxx $13000 total.

Well, the 48V is the key. Although I must say that that looked more like about 12 or 14mph. Or about 20kph. But at 48V I don't doubt it can go faster.

But I know what its like to have lots of volts and so lots of power! That was the reason for my BM3 chair.

Why don't they make all chairs this way, as its no more expensive. (other than initial lithium outlay which pays for itself several times over later on). It aids efficiency, range, and quadruples performance. If you don't want all that performance, then that's what programmers are for! Just like a brick under the gas pedal...

Any decent detailed pics?

I look forward to seeing pictures and more video. That looks good from what I can see. Some length, width, and height measurements for comparison would be great too.

The easiest way to post pictures is to open a free Photobucket or other photo hosting website. Upload your pictures there then copy the "IMG" links into your message.

48V, 90Ah thats a large pack I'm curious how he stuffed that much in there.

Does he have any build picks he'd be willing to share?

very nice - can you give me some input on your bounder chair - from what i can see in the pictures - dosnt look bad at all - is that a stock other than its 48V and lithium - any details would be great - since i am considering a bounder myself

how durable are those Chains on the motors etc, - and tires - are they tubeless you added or those stock Air tires from bounder etc,

thanks - looks great from the pictures you posted so far - also the ride - how does it feel with that suspension etc, - did you paint your shocks springs in the rear to black from the stock yellow ?

Pictures and measurements would be appreciated for sure. Looks like a beast alright. Judging by the cruising picture that is either a fairly narrow road or those are very wide chairs.

yes thats right - narrow road -- large tires and still looks compact - what kind of tires are those Rimes - size etc, - do they just bolt right inplace of the stock tires - no modifications - spacers - adapters etc, ?

i am thinking about if i do end up with a bounder -

You are inevitably going to end up like me.

I just ordered a brand new brushless chair... It will be rubbish but can be reprogrammed, redesigned fixed/lithium/modded etc.
I have the green one 90 percent ready again, and its been black and a BM2 for a decade before that, the fast experimental BM3 done but currently with a broken motor - soon to be fixed, a really old tatty lead powered backup chair that I am using today, and a 10 year old BM1 rebuild with lithium never used! So will have FIVE chairs soon. All different, all better at one thing or another.

Well its not that much. My 24V pack is 120Ah, my 45V pack is 72Ah. And nandols grp 24 sized one uses lower C rate cells but those are smaller so is 190Ah. Talking of which where is he! :?

WOW I had no idea Nandol's pack could fit in a Group 24. Were these prismatics? I would imagine the lower C rate would be offdet by the sheer size of the pack as far as battery wear and tear. What cells did he use?

He used some cheap chinese ones (Shirley_hk) and its actually a little wider than a grp 24 but fits in nandols chair. And its still in hk as far as I know.

hi people

I will try to answer some of your questions.

At the start I have to point out that the chair is not mine and I am just an admirer. A friend of mine thought it out, designed and built it with I believe some advice from this forum.
The Bounder was used as a base. Mark heavily modified it, shortened the frame, changed pretty much every nut and bolt and powder-coat it all, changed the shock absorbers, changed the wheels to Hagar tubeless etc. Basically this chair has very little with the ugly original. Apart from the 48v controller and high torque motors.

The "narrow road " that you are talking about is a bicycle path. Here in Perth we are blessed with a lot of kms of them. It was funny watching some of the reactions from the riders when Mark zoomed by them.

Sometime during the week I will take more detailed pictures and will attempt to post them.

More pictures and videos great but please no more trick photography. That bike path sure had me fooled.
