Can't overcome R-Net power module error 3D01

Postby ukralex » 12 Nov 2017, 18:38

Hi to all!
I owner Meyra Optimus 2 with R-net control system.
Recently el.wheelchair had on screen error (3D01) and does not move.
Service manual says "M1 Motor Shorted Low"
3D01 - M1 Motor Error
This occurs when the control system detects that the motor connected to M1 on the Power Module has 'short-circuited' to a battery negative connection.
Check the motor, cables and connections to the control system.
If the trip is still present after the above checks have been made, then the controller may be defective.

I replaced two MOSFET (on photo TR5, TR7) three times.
Made rewinding of the motor.
But an issue with error (3D01) still present.
I explain the situation when it happens.
When I drive on high speed and throw joystick to make soft stop. The error (3D01) on screen. And el.wheelchair does not move. Mosfet burned again. And so was three times.
What do you think I need to check more?
Your suggestions and advice.
Maybe driver of mosfet need to be replace (chip 2101).

Rewind motor?
Why? It worked, you can measure free running current etc?

It seems that it doesent know what to do with regeneration current. So burns a mosfet. How to fix? Dunno. Check all other mosfets. And battery connections.

You might also hunt around on that board for an open diode somewhere.

The stuff I've seen on fixing H-Bridges generally recommends replacing ALL the MOSFETs in a bridge - theory being that when you fry part of the bridge, the rest of it gets some weird power surges and the remaining FET's are likely to be weakened even if they pass the typical low current bench tests...

I'd agree with Lenny about checking the diodes, and I'd also probably want to look at the electrolytic caps just on general principles as those are 'frequent failure' items...

I tired repair power module.
And bought new 564 euro.
Can I replace old with new.
What I must check to prevent new power module from damage?
Now batteries voltage 13,1 each
Wires from batteries to PM are OK.

Battery connections, cables, motor and brake impedances. etc.

But you must also PROGRAM the power module, with correct parameters.

How to check motor and brake impedances?
Explain please more detail.

Just measure brake and motor resistance accurately to be sure no shorts that may damage controller. Check left side against right side to see if the same.
