Burgerman wrote:I chose the 6.2mph (10kph) motors as I already tested the 13kph ones on a groove years ago. They are a step too far with a fully loaded 180kg chair with all the power options. Inadequate torque, and rapid battery depletion. The 4 pole 10kph offers better range, 25% more torque approx. Esp if you need it to do steep ramps etc. Remember power tilt, power recline, power centre foortrest (as fitted to the salsa M2) and power lift and the bigger 80Ah batteries with the wider jay single post arms all add 80kg to the basic chair base!
But since I will be increasing the voltage with lithium, and have a programmer that allows me to increae the motor volts, and my 120/70 tyres etc all mean it will be nearly 12kph regardless. With no loss of torque caused by taller gearing. So the best motor choice were the 4 pole 10kph ones.
Also included r-net 120 instead of a 80 or 90 amp version or VR2. For the same torque reasons.
And the newer large colour screen joystick.
Power centre footplate
Tilt
Lift
Recline
Stronger centre post arms instead of lift up wobbly ones
Black paint because white/blue/red is just gay...
And about a dozen smaller options. For eg 6 degree seat dump at the base tilt position. As I dont like tipping forwards or flat! And I get 36 degrees tilt! And lights of course...
