M3 Corpus control speed without letting go of joystick

Postby CyborgOnWheels » 14 Jan 2018, 18:34

I have a new permobil wheelchair which I love for its flexibility. The main problem with it is that I have to let go of the joystick in order to adjust the speed. There are two ways to adjust the speed. You can push the speed up or drown, or you can cycle through the profile settings, which are custom speed settings. On the back of the control panel, there is a jack we hooked up to a simple egg button on the non-driving side of my power chair. However, this is only a partial solution because the profile mode can only change when the joystick is not moving, which will not happen reliably when my hand is on the joystick because I have tremors. I do not understand why the profile mode needs the joystick must remain still while the speed toggle does not need to be still and suspect that this is a programmable safety feature I can reconfigure. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

To elaborate.
To change speed and/or profile while driving. Change either (or both) of these yellow highlighted fields to "yes".

Also if you were to set one of your profiles to go from very low indoor speed at min, to full speed at max then you could use speed button alone. To cover all speeds without swapping profiles.
