How do i limit the amps volts so i can use the psu with my pl8.

In the SUPPLY TAB in the PC software for the PL8 you set a limit of low voltage typically 10, and max Amps, say 45 to 50 in the case of your new supply. Then the PL8 will work from 10V up to 30, and at 0A up to a max of 45 or 50.

As for power supply volts, you can I think limit this in the power supply, but its easy enough to set it to 28.2, 28.8, 29.4 max for charging lead or for power supply use manually. 28V X 50A means input power of 1400 watts. Thats adequate for full 40A charge power from the PL8.

Select V/A by turning the knob , and press while it's blinking .

Turn to adjust valve .

Press again to confirm .

Once you play with it for a while, it becomes obvious. But is hard at first. All about turning, pressing, watchig, waiting, long presses etc.

Operation tips :
On "short press" to select volt / amp adjustment , new value will become active when you press encoder again.

If you press & hold for 1 second instead of just a short press , the adjustment will be INSTANT .

You need 24V PSU.

There are better , cheaper one to power PL8 just .

This 63A one @£25 costs only 1/3 of it .
