Has anyone ever seen this or bought one? I use to tow friends from a skateboard. But this is better.

It looks funny. Indeed, kids love this, and some girls too. But do not forget about the additional load on the motors and high currents, because this is your weight and weight of the new passenger. So, I think we should take on board only beautiful slim girls. For many reasons :D

In 1981, I had a 19 year old carer called kristen that had a set of boots with wheels in the bottom that flipped out. She "pushed" me at 6mph all over the place. She lived on garden-pea and salt sandwhiches.

Isn't this the sort of setup that I've seen HK-Shirley using to have his carer go with him on trips - I recall videos of him and friends going down the street each with a carer perched on the back of their chairs....

Given that at least some of us have chairs that can go at considerably more than comfortable walking speeds / distances, it seems like a reasonable idea....

Depends on your girlfreind or carer.

Expressos ones would break the thing they stand on and burn out the motors. He likes them big black ones! :silent:

Every time I hear that Hans Zimmer track they put in the demo video for this I think of the movie True Romance. Good film back in the day.

On balance I like the idea and wouldn't mind having something like this. As Goose says Shirley has a setup like this on his chair.

Those people are the biggest jerks in the world!! Dont think they still sell but there ride a longs are junk and crappy make your own!!

I saw them one year at Ablitiy expo in LA so I have a friend who has a gnc cutter and that summer we made one and it worked fine!!

Then I got a x5 and it worked even better because it was a strong chair!!

We came back to the expo the next year and they severed me with a Cease & Desist Letter from there attorney for stealing intellectual property!!

On the Edge it flipped up when not in use and on the x5 you could disconnect when not in use and we had a fastener that hooked it to the back grab bar.

Once you got use to someone riding on the back it was great!

A true gentleman knows that children ride on the back and ladies go on the lap. I don't use caregivers anymore, but when I was in college I always hired freshmen chicks to help me. I can still smell those succulent...I digress. I had one girl that loved to skateboard and grab my "push handle". This looks like a better idea though because sidewalk cracks are a bitch on a skateboard.

I found this Standing trailer. It has an attachment for Powerchairs too. https://www.travelscoot.com/accessories-for-mobility-scooters/

Is that sleeping bag?

Btw has that WC got an unusually short wheelbase or is the the photo angle?

PS: I think shirley uses one of them boards a lot?

Is also unbelievably nose heavy so will steer and drive like crap, and lose traction on drive wheels on ramps or tree roots, uneven pavements etc. Combined with stock 'where are we going?' programming I suspect its all but unusable.

I might add that the mounting point for the trailer hitch needs to be at the same height as the drive wheel centre point. Where it is now, will tip the powerchair back as you accelerate, or climb a ramp/slope. So its designed wrong. :cussing

True. The problem is that the people tat design these things do npt seem to understand even basic physics or mechanics.

And as shirley says, reverse by mistake, and it will try to go under the chair/bend the tow tubing. If it makes sense to you, shirley, me, why dont the designers get it?

TravelScoot offers cargo trailers, sitting trailers and, apparently, this stander thingy. Trailers are very limiting, though useful under certain circumstances. And I'm a TravelScoot owner. Oh, yes, it's a scooter.
I pull a variety of wagons and trailers with my big outdoor Pride Wrangler.

I think Shirley has the best approach. With a wide hinge near the WC rear axle center line; that's spring loaded to self store folded up; with swivel castors underneath that adjust direction as required... It just does everything so well.

I have seen these for Lithium foldable powerchairs. I do not like the small casters as the clunk.
