Dealer level is pretty much useless though as theres usually a bunch of walls set up to prevent you choosing say 100 in all the turn accel/decel settings for e.g. So no matter what you do it wont steer. And stability module/gyro settings? Motor compensation? All missing.

So they sent a spanner, with a hammer, to fix something that needs a brain with a OEM programming tool. As I expected they would...

Correct. IF you had ever driven a properly programmed chair, you would never be able to drive it accurately unless you had the correct hand position, and joystick finger/thumb position. In order to do that it must be high enough, and inboard the arm, and in the place you find the most comfortable.

Almost all of users I see while out and about have the joystick position and technique, as well as that godawful crashalot programming and are all happy in their ignorance. They simply dont understand that its not them! They all think you need to get used to a new chair or that its just how it is!

the guy came with HHDTT again and it does work this time. he did refuse to increase the speed according to restrict of the ministry of health, but I ask to increased all to 100 acceleration forward, reverse and turn and it feels completely different. it's like you driving, not somebody driving you. but what should i change to make turn faster? the guy said it's not such parameter like turn speed on HHDTT.
Does somebody know?
Thanks

The guy, doesent know what he is taking about...

You can set:
Turn ACCELERATION to 100
Minimum turn ACCELERATION to 100
Turn DECELERATION to 100
Minimum turn DECELERATION to 100
And you should! These 4 are essential to make it steer. In order to set that you first need so reset all the walls, (ABS settings, that needs an OEM programmer and a little knowledge. I doubt he did that...)

You can set turn rate or turn speed as they call it to any figure you want. 40 works fine. Above 45 or 50 is too much unless for soccer etc.
You can set Minimum turn speed to any figure. 16 to 20 works best.

You can set forward and reverse, speed and minimum speed to anything you want. And 100 and 35 works best.
You can set Minimum forward and reverse acceleration, and forward/reverse accelerations, and the same for all the deceleration ssettings to whatever you want/prefer.

To do all of this, and fine tune it so it behaves exactly as you want takes weeks, or months of use. With many small changes. And for that you need your own programmer.

I have a dealer dongle and having MAJOR issues getting the USB connection working. PC won’t recognize it even after installing the RNET drivers (windows10)...

Tried a couple different laptops and same result. Anyone have tips?

Or does my dongle just suck.

Do you have the chair turned on?
Do you have the dongle between the power module and the joystck, in the cable?

Chair is turned on, dongle between joystick and pm...I can use on board programming. Using a printer USB cable (type B?)...

Does the order matter (chair on, dongle usb into computer, and open wheelchair builder)?

try another usb cable - connect the dongle to your chair - between the power cable goin from your Joystick to the PM - on your chair - you may have to find that spot - your chair may have a bunch of other things in between also - - i did a permobil chair once - but didnt work out well -

with the chair off - connect the dongle in the right spot - make sure its connected good - connect the cable to computer - turn on the chair

open the software - that should be it -

try new cable - i guess its a computer issue with devices - go to device manager and delete some things there - usb connected items etc,

reboot - and try it again - or do a search on what Code 10 means - you might see some items in device manager with question mark - those are the ones not working correctly - remove them and reboot - hopefully it will reinstall correctly -

Ordered a new cable. I suspect this is the issue as I tested it on multiple PC's...we’ll see. Fingers crossed!

Perhaps the cable you tried to use was not a data cable.

USB can have 4 wires, 2 for power and 2 for data. Some cables only have the 2 wires needed for power and omit the data wires. These can be used to provide power to a device, but not to send/receive data.

It seems unlikely that a USB cable with a B connector on one end would be missing the data wires, but it is possible.

It is also possible that one or more wires had a break in them (typically near where they join up with the connector).

Just had my CJSM2 Bluetooth from CW via DHL.

Is it plug and play or will it need reprogramming?

Thanks

It should be plug and play. But some of its feature can be programmed and you would probably want to do that.

Lead? That usually comes with them - All mine did. They are available from PG.

Thanks for the info.

I have asked how much a short lead is, as it never came with one being a refurb

I have asked BM. But I thought I would ask here.

I just went through the options on my CJSM2 controller.

I saw a diagnostic option and that gave me 3 other options.
I tried the StLM option.

It said "StLM 2.2 Bad Servo Demand" I have no clue what it means.

Any idea? This is on my Meyra Optimums 2

The workaround is the following steps:-

1. With the Dealer dongle connected, save the settings from the chair using either Dealer or OEM programming software. Save the file with an easy name, e.g. Dealer.r-net
2. Disconnect Dealer dongle and open the Dealer.r-net file in the OEM software. Do not make any changes at this point and just re-save the file with a dfferent name, e.g. Dealer_OEM.r-net and then close the software.
3. Re-open the OEM programming software and load the Dealer_OEM.r-net file. Make the required changes and save as a different name if you like.
4. Re-connect Dealer dongle and write your new settings to the chair. Job done!

Hope this helps,

Steve

Thanks! I was able to re-save the file and edit it perfectly. However, it would not allow me to write the settings back to the chair. It said that a dealer dongle was connected and only dealer settings could be written. Is there a way around this?
