A Hypothetical Power Controller Question?

Postby Scooterman » 16 Jul 2018, 18:47

The following thought popped into my head the other day...

With say 100A powerchair controller... Could the L and R drive channels be wired in parallel and ONLY the fwd/rev circuit wired to a mobility scooter throttle (say wig-wag). Would this then in effect become a 200A scooter controller?

Just curious

No. It would likely end with some smoke. Although its feasable for a manufacturer of the power module to modify it to do this.
