Cells are great, but physically too big, esp for 90Ah.

Even if they do (I dont think they will) they are a little small at 90Ah. There are 100Ah lead batteries that will fit like https://www.amazon.com/Trojan-SCS150-10 ... LQ67NVPFZA

Things have moved on a little. Its now possible to get 180Ah lifepo4 in the space of a set of grp24s.

By way of 1 example, 16 of these will fit... https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 6f67uQmQtC
Thats what will be going in the salsa, and then theres 60Ah addons!

Then theres 160Ah in snakers chair in vietnam. And shirley has about 220Ah. Nandol would have had 180Ah... Expresso has 135, Why fit half that?

This may be the MFG.

Says they are metal case, don't know if they need insulation.

John,
What do you make of these statements in the battery site you just linked:
Short circuit protection
Over charge and over discharge protection
Over current protection
Require no change to a lead acid battery charging system

Are they saying that each cell has a BMS built in? How can they balance? Or is this really referring not to the cells, but to a separate BMS?

They mostly sell full packs. Complete with a BMS... Thats a boiler plate page that they forgot to change.

BM I emailed QH a link to this thread. Mr. Duran answered back after reading it and said they sell direct and for anyone on the forum with tech questions he or an engineer would reply.

Tell him to add a buy now button complete with shipping like other sites! So we can see how much, delivery times, etc.

And tell him we really want a cell that is:
64mm x 168 x 210 tall! That is 2 to 3C cont rated. As high Ah as possible.

So we can make up packs that are a perfect fit with insulation etc.

I remain sceptical about that they have the same size for same capacity , no matter how many C they are rated .

Seems too good to be true , itsn't it ?

I'll go for EVE , till I find something trustworthy .
