Etac e890 power wheelchair activate cruise mode

Postby Kweon ms » 04 Sep 2018, 10:52

Hello everyone.
I am cervical spine damage c4, c5.
I want to know how to activate the e890's cruise mode.
I have an etac e890 wheelchair. However, the current cruise mode is not on the joystick screen.
Have you ever used any of the etac e890 users to use cruise mode?
Can I use this wheelchair with a dongle programmer to activate cruise mode?
Let me know how. thank you everyone

Maybe latched controls? For use with speciality input devices? Yes it can do that. Quite complex to get that working from scratch in a safe manner. I think you will need help.

I have weak arms. I hurt my arm when I push the joystick handle forward. So I want my wheelchair to go forward even if I lift my hand off the handle. I called it cruise mode. Is it much harder to set it up? I always thank you for your kindness.

You can configure it as latched mode. But not how you describe. Although it would be a simple physical modification to do.

Thats the name of a profile. You can call any profile anything you wish. Call it "self destruct" if you want! Or "VTO" (vertical take off)... Its just your name for your profile 3 settings.

The person who uploaded the picture explained about cruise mode as follows. ------ There is a system that moves even when the hand is released from the control by the use of the Kurusukorutororu (straight forward at a certain speed) because the arm is hard and it is difficult to go straight when driving.

He has chosen his preferred programming settings, and theres many, including latched controls which I dont know how to explain, and called it cruise. I have one called dave...

You need to download the software, and run it on your PC. And read the r-net technical manual.

Latched is really designed for switches and alternative controls. But if thats what you want to configure I am sure you can do that. Look up latched before you drive into a wall. Push once to go. Push again to stop...

Its a stop button.

Read the joystick manual. And the latest r-net manual.

The latch control no disappears and yes e-stop indication appears. Are there any other settings that I need to make with latch control? How do I get e-stop to disappear?

Settings? Yes many! And you need to completely understand it. And if its configured to use a button to stop in emergency then you need to change this, or add one. DO NOT do this yourself if you dont undrstand what you are doing as you will run away out of control, and or break legs, end up Under a bus... ALL TESTING with wheels raised off the ground.

READ the manuals end to end. Electronic translation is not good enough.

I'd be wary about this setup in a crowded area, maybe adding another mini joystick to a more comfortable position might be an option? Cruise mode would be ok on open areas with hardly anybody about.
