It just couldn't be more useful than taking an actual measurement of the battery compartment . :clap

This would be excellent @£35.00 , if you could expend a few mm at the total width .

I think that those dimensions are for group 34 batteries not 22.

i believe the size in question that the user is looking to replace is a Group 34 size - i started this section in an effort for someone to help with lithium Cells for his Chair - i was mistaken when i started it with Group 22 MK as the heading - i believed it was a group 22 size - but its a M34 SLD G according to the link provided to me which i posted.

For future info, grp 24, and grp 34 are the same. Other than the 34 is 1 inch shorter in height. 25mm.

And the ones used in chairs where a 24 doesn't fit, are almost always FT or flat top. With just a bolt hole. M6.

If this is the first time building a pack and cant find cells to fit inside etc, or maybe too much to take on for the very first time -

It may be a good idea to make a ADD ON pack with brand new Lead - then the options of Cell size can change - he can then use larger Cells like 80ah -

just dont get them from where i did :) but from Shirley - at a good cost - first time building it - should get him easy 35 miles with a 80ah pack or even a 60ah pack

would be easy to make with just 8 Cells - and can get experience in the process its an idea and if he ever wanted to do the whole chair down the line - you can still use the ADD ON -

Does anyone have any solutions or links to Cells that will fit - i am trying to help another user here - his battery size is limited - cant change that -

size is 18cm tall - x 35cm long x 17.2 wide - i think thats cm also -

any suggestions on cells - the best he found were a 50ah model 8 cells - not good enough -

i suggested another way if nothing can be found to fit in the chair - if all fails and nothing can be found - if it were me - i may or would just fit what i can inside even if its only 50ah Cells - and then make an ADD ON outside which can be 80ah or 90ah - - giving a good 140ah pack - i know its not ideal -

but i dont see any other way - any other ideas to help this user out ?

Is the size 18x35x17.2cm for a single battery or a whole battery box? My chair originally used a small GP22NF/50Ah box but I could fit 150Ah (with a little modification).

i believe its the whole battery area - not able to modify the area - hes needing something that can fit that area and nothing more - proving hard to find cells - that are large enough Ah - ideally 8 Cells that can fit would be best for the user -

Snaker - if you find any that you think can fit and work - post the links here so he can check them out - thanks

These 8x120Ah cells are a little bigger than your box size.
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=530722922690

It seems the box size 18x35x17.2cm is not correct, it is unable to fit 2x60Ah lead battery. You should measure it accurately. It might fit 8 cells above.

this is the battery in the chair as i was told - this is not my chair - so i cant measure it -

if that size would fit - would be good for him -

looks very tight but may fit - thats not up to me to decide - - 1C maybe a bit too low though - discharge - since its only 8 Cells - if it were 16 Cells - it would be 2C borderline

from the little i can make out - dosnt translate good

Through your link, it seems your friend's battery box is GP24. Its size should be 26cm width, 35cm depth, 20cm height. It must fit 180Ah or more. He needs to measure the box accurately first.

thats the link i was shown - hes another user from here - having a hard time finding Cells - i am trying to help him - i ask him again to measure again and make sure those are the batteries -

thanks again - if you happen to find others that you think will fit - post the links - i think the problem was most cells he found or i found were too Tall - past the 178mm size - to be safe he needs i think no more than 170mm high - for wiring etc, -

The 120Ah cells above are not bad. Their discharge rate is 3-5C. Capacity might be questionable, maybe only 110Ah in reality.

Brand: *TL
Aluminum shell power battery
Specification: 3.2V120ah
Size MM: Thick 48* Wide 173 * High 168
Voltage: 3.2V
Nominal capacity: 120Ah
Measured capacity: 118-125AH
Internal resistance: about 0.3 milliohms
Discharge cut-off voltage: 2.0V
Charging limit voltage: 3.65V
Maximum charging rate: 1C (recommended 0.2C)
Instantaneous discharge rate: 3-5C
Charging method: CC/CV (constant current and constant voltage)
Weight: 2.8KG
Cycle life: 2000 times or more

That will fill about half of a grp 34 battery area. They will be hiding in the corner trying to keep warm! :problem:

These are 200 long, and 8 is 272 wide.
You have 260 x 344...

If those will fit, yes. More Ah means a lower C rate is required since theres more Ah.

Dimensions: (L) 259mm x (W) 169mm x (H) 178mm. if this is the size batter you have -- - those cells are about 4mm wider - if you can make that fit - its good - measure very good and make sure - you dont want to be stuck with cells that wont fit -
