2 ways.

One, send me your current file, and I will send it back done...
Two, use the OEM software to enable it yourself, which you can do to an OEM or DEALER level file as long as you have OEM software. Just one item to change.

But... You really should also remove the walls that they usually have programmed in or some of the settings will still be impossible. At the same time.

Burger, I already turned the keycode off. The CJSM2 OB programming isn't engaging using the Hold Horn>Turn On method so I thought there may be a different key combination.

You must be doing something wrong I suspect. On mine I mapped it to an indicator button...

Works great.

Send me your file?

Can't send it.

"The extension r-net is not allowed."

I can make it a pdf maybe.

You can rename to .P.F or .ZIP but you dont need to zip it etc.

Is it working now?

Heres a fun PDF that you will never hear on the BBC. They avoid the word socialism when its associated with the inevitable damage it always causes like the plague. Their idealism cannot be wrong surely? (again!)

Hey,

i‘m new in the forum and have same Problems.
On the new CJSM2-Controller horn and power on aren‘t working to get in OBP-Mode.

Can you please help me what’s going wrong?
OPB is activated via Dongle.

You have already activated it? (keycode method)
And it does not work?

If the keycode method is set, then the following button sequence will allow entry to OBP. Note, a dongle will also allow OBP access if this method is set.

Hold down the Horn button and then hold down the On/Off button until there is a short bleep. Note, the normal power-up sound wi l l occur prior to this bleep. Release the Horn button, but continue to hol ddown the On/Off button unti l there are two further short bleeps . Release the On/Off button, there will now be alonger bleep and OBP mode will be entered.

Are you sure it is activated? Because it sounds otherwise...
Because I activated OBP on mine (all 3) with the same joystick as you are using and all work fine. But I cant for the life of me remember how I turn it on if the above is not it. Cant try it to find out as I am on my bed with a sore...

But this is the J/S manual http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/program ... 302-03.pdf
And this is the R-Net system manual http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/program ... 981-14.pdf

For what its worth the OBP is only Dealer level basic settings, it will not allow you to set a chair up so it steers propery and works properly. And it needs a PC screen really so you can see whats going on and configure it properly. THEN later, it an be useful to make minor adjustments to a few things as you are using the chair. Better to aquire a dongle and then use OEM software.

Yes I activated it and checked if it is really active while re-reading the configuration from controller.
With the old controller my chair says failure at OBP Code 200.
Think there is a problem with configuration from Permobil.

Permobil... Might have known.

Dont buy pride or permobil, or anything with the new Dynamic controllers.

Was there an error when you wrote to the permobil chair?

No there wasn’t an error and all additional settings a new profile included are working fine.
So it seems there is a problem.
Maybe I will get my F5 back on Friday so I can test it there.
If it works so we will have to check with Permobil why my software on F3 ist bugged.

Permobils own firmware, and PC programming software is different to all the standard stuff. For E.G. they have it tailored to allow OBP if enabled, to also allow some settings for their own, Permobil seating module etc. (other manufacturers use the P.G R-net generic one).

So unless you enabled OBP with the Permobil OEM version of the software its likely it might not work. I am also informed that sometimes you cannot even write the modified files using the generic OEM software to the permobil chair at all. Dependin on firmware versions etc. This is why I say dont buy permobil. They are making it harder and harder, like pride do, to prevent anyone getting hold of a generic programmer and setting the thing up so it steers properly. And also configure their seating and inhibits etc to suit you.

So it may be that...

On my F3 chair with the new CJSM2 joystick, OBP is included in settings once a dongle is attached. I don't believe the key sequences for the previous joysticks work.

IF

If the keycode method is set, then the following buttons equence will allow entry to OBP. Note, a dongle will also allow OBP access if this method is set. Hold down the Horn button and then hold down the On/Off button until there is a short bleep. Note, the normal power-up sound will occur prior to this bleep. Release the Horn button, but continue to hold down the On/Off button until there are two further short bleeps . Release the On/Off button, there will now be a longer bleep and OBP mode wi ll be entered.

Does not work, 2 options.

1. You have not correctly set OBP to operate with keycode entry using the OEM programmer, or the permobil specific firmware has not accepted it.
2. Permobil specific firmware (dont buy permobil!) may not allow it because god forbid a USER may gain programming access.

One possible 3rd option that I doubt, but cannot test right now, (bed for 4 weeks) is that the CJSM2 does not allow OBP. Cannot be can it? But for what its worth OBP is so restricted, that its pretty useless anyway. Also its possible to enter OBP or settings by pressing the top left rubber hazard button to enter OBP too, if programmed to do so.

You can also re-asign many functions with a 2nd function.
If as below, you set the horn buttons 2nd function as PROGRAMMING instead of horn, then holding the horn for 1 second will enter programming.

But still you must have OBP keycode set to yes.
