SEDEO PRO SEATING SYSTEM

Postby tomcmo » 09 Apr 2019, 14:19

Hi All

Long time lurker and seldom poster here. Sincere thanks to BM and posters for this website, it has proved to be a lifesaver over the years.

I have replaced my antique F50 with a used Puma 40S with the Sedeo Pro 2.0 Seating System and I am currently reconfiguring it for my needs. Is the Sedeo Pro 2.0 a standard system used on several models of chair?

The reason I ask is that I need push handles, not to push but to hook my arms and wrist around to pull myself up into the chair when I lose balance, no core - high level spinal injury. I have been met with the expected non response, we do not stock that wheelchair or bewilderment from the mobility shops approached so far. Any ideas on where best to get hold of the push handles or even a push bar system that I can adapt, I'm in NE UK.

Thanks in advance.

PDF extract for good measure, it appears to be exactly the same fitting.

I seem to recall that the Sedeo setup is also on some of the Sunrise Quickie chairs - or am I confused about the names? :?

From blowing up the photos, it looks to me like there is are plugs on top of that upper cross member, which would pull out to allow push handles to be slid down into the upright tubes (which is consistent with the PDF I think)

No idea how / who I'd get parts from... We have a couple of members who are in the business, and might be able to point you at a source (Paging Rover!!!)

However if you have friends w/ tools and mechanical skills it might be possible to fabricate something that would do the same kind of thing as what is shown in the PDF...

Thanks for the reply. Based on the dealer responses so far I think I'm leaning more towards the fabrication route.
