whats this bit called please!

hi all as title i cannot for the life of me remember what its called and need to replace whatever its called if indeed i even need it i only fitted as the original controller was connected to it and theres no other fuses or breakers,the chair has a vsi fitted now so if the mystery thing is essential is there a modern equivalent as this is 1985 kit,thanks for any help,heres pic,peace

I got this to replace thermal circuit breaker:

It's 30A but it cost about 7.99 - so maybe the price rockets with the capacity or quality, but yours look hell of expensive to me. I also got a pair of those breakers from an Amazon Chinese seller for a couple of quid and a lot of time waiting for it to arrive.

i found this one it looks well made and even has covers for terminals and is a lot cheaper and being very poor thats important,i wonder is there a simple test for finding for sure if it is indeed faulty/worn out,of to look on google!heres what im going to order

Thermal circuit breaker = FUSE.... except that it's resettable. There isn't a really easy way to test them, other than having them blow more than expected... OTOH, unless they are tripped and reset a LOT of times, they aren't likely to wear out. However they can have problems due to corrosion if they are frequently soaked / exposed to weather....

For the most part you can replace with any fuse or breaker with the same or slightly higher rating - it isn't real critical...

However if you are blowing fuses, you really want to investigate and be CERTAIN there isn't a reason - such as an intermittent short, worn motor brushes, etc...
If you notice anything in the wiring harness or other bits that is warm when the fuse blows, that is a definite sign that you have other issues, and the breaker is working properly by blowing like it should...
