That applies to ALL permanant magnet DC motors.

It basicaLly just says that at any constant voltage:

All DC motors at constant load and so constant RPM take the MAX Amps when stopped (stalled) and produce the most torque when stopped. And obviously are wasting 100% of the power so at this point 0% efficiency... Because you are going nowhere and burning max Amps!

As the are allowed to get faster (still at constant but reducing load to hold RPM at x) the Amps falls away. The torque falls away. The efficiency increases.

At max continuous RPM (so zero load) a motor would pull zero Amps. But theres air (windage) losses, brush friction, bearings. So in reality there a small non zero current. But here efficiency is also zero since theis is doing no output, no load, and so 0% efficient.

This is because a motor is also a generator. The faster a motor spins, the more VOLTS it generates. When this matches the supplied voltage then no more current can flow.

Oh. Maybe because I bought 2. Or has no spare ones left. He only wanted the generic ones for his chairs, and was selling the ones that said sunrise, quickie, on boot up. And elryko1992 is selling these new as well.

It is. They use R-net joystick, and Power Module. But they use THEIR OWN seating module and gyro module... So dont buy those. Buy the ISM6 instead. They use these rather than the R-Net ones. And that requires a cable we dont have and some software called wheelchair builder that they use to configure this seaing. They even have the cheek to say that the fancy colour joystick is "their: design! Its not. They also use permobil rnet software rather than generic software. That is needed to adjust their own gyro, and seating options etc.

I did it once. Dont remember how, years ago on a pilot plus which is the same setup. Two long thin screwdrivers and a load of struggling and swearing is all I remember. PG will sell you new ones.

BM,

Sorry. First, it is a PITA ordering from PGDT, for almost always they come up asking to buy from OEM, which is not my case. Secondly, if they deem to sell, for a couple of connectors costing US$ 15-20, the courier charge alone will be(they send only by DHL) US$ 60-70.

Then you have 2 choices.
Try to bodge it and reverse engineer it, or use blade connectors.
Buy the motors or battery leads from a powerchair as required.

There probably is a tool, good luck finding it, and then figuring out which testicle you want to sell to pay for it...

However like many connectors the contacts basically lock in with a small tab sticking out the side of them. A thin jewelers screwdriver slid in along side the contact in the right place will bend the tab in enough to slide the contact out. Careful examination of the plastic housing will usually show a notch where the tab slides in, you will want to push the screwdriver in from the opposite end to bend the tab down and pull the contact out - often it helps to do both at the same time...

Its possible that rover on here may have one, and other than that PGDT directly, or eBay used now and again.

Way back when I was an electronics technician, I used to have tools for removing contacts from specialized connectors. Some were round, others flat. Yes, there must be some sort of an expanding retainer. The tool would try to compress that. I'd suggest examining the connector under a lot of magnification to see what you are going after.
