A powered rail system linked to something to measure gradient would be perfect for me, could have seat automatically move forward and tilt slightly forward going uphill and go back and tilt back downhill.No need to change mode manually. Even without the seat rail an auto gradient tilt adjust would be useful.

Not hard to do, +/- 10deg would be sufficient I reckon. But there are issues:
  • an additional -ve (i.e. front below back) tilt mechanism adds height to the seat, unless your seat already has -ve tilt built in (most don't, tho I think BM's Salsa was modded to do so);
  • the existing tilt mechanism is too slow to cope with short ramps e.g. drop kerbs;
