I'm assuming that the cable is RS232 DB9 to the 6 pin I.C.S. plug ... if so ...would you be willing to identify the pin out connections of your cable?

Are you meaning for sale? If so, I'm interested.

Can you please add a general location to your profile ... note that Rover and myself are U.K. based.

diedofennui wrote:The RS-232 connector is 6 male pins in a socket. I numbered the pins with the circuit board positioned with the socket at the top edge of board.
6 5 4
1 2 3
1 - RXD
2 - TXD
3 - RTS
4 - Not used
5 - GND
6 - CTS
RS-232 lines DCD, DTR, and DSR must be connected together and do not attach to the ICS Master board.
On the computer I used serial port settings 9600-8-None-1-hardware
Hope this helps someone!

So to make a serial cable all I need to do is wire the 6pin (3x2) to a RS232 DB9? And then use a USB to Serial cable?

I do need a serial cable to update firmware not just a RNET dongle?

DO NOT TRY TO FIRMWARE UPDATE WITH A DONGLE.
As I told you before, the ics module will be a brick if you use a dongle to firmware update
Also It can not use rescue mode on wheelchair builder for fixing it with a dongle.
You have to use ics serial cable when you doing ics firmware update.
It based on my experiences.
