Caster wheel problem

Postby steves1977uk » 13 Aug 2019, 20:28

Here's a weird issue...

My Groove chair has a slow air leak in the right caster wheel, so my Brother replaced the old inner tube with a new one but it still goes flat after a couple of hours. The old tube stays up when my Brother pumped it up yesterday and is still hard today. What can be causing the caster do this? :? The new tube is not pinched inside the wheel anywhere as he checked before he put it together.

Thanks for the help John. The valve was centred in the hole, but now my Brother says it's hissing from somewhere. :cussing

Assemble and dunk the wheel/valve.

@BM, yes that's possible. :thumbup:

@woody, I'll get my Brother to do this with the new tube he assembled the wheel with. :thumbup:

And if no bubbles add a little tyre sealer, and test again. THEN fit it.

Funny. :D

But this IS exactly what happens to me.
Doesent matter what I am actually doing. It always causes more work and/or doesent go as it should. And ends up making things worse. :fencing
