Do you realise that the world is full of stupid people. At least 1/4 of the EV forums swear by bottom balancing. Which for OBVIOUS reasons cant work...

So far so good.

My 220Ah pack has been charged via the BMS above for 50 days .

I charged it with a PL8 last night , to see if it were unbalanced.

It was done in 35 mins . (ie, 0.6Ah)

So over less than 2 months it allowed it to become unbalanced by quite a bit. It took 40 minutes at 1A balance current to properly balance it.

May be , or maybe it's the dead band of the BMS , so it won't accumulate .

The error is 0.002727 of a 220Ah pack , recharged from a 87% DOD .

Will come back another 50 days later.

10 months now, since the last check by PL8.

Pretty good in BMSwise.

2 hours wih a 1000mA balance current means it was 2 full Ah out of balance? Is the BMS balance actually working? Two and a half times+ more unbalanced than the last time.
