Run FTProg if you have it and post the chip number and the pid & vid .

EDIT

Hmmmm....that will not work if the cable isn't being recognised...

Thanks.
I download a FTProg, and which can't find the board as picture, maybe cause of I don't know how to use it?
The chip number:

[quote="woodygb"]Try.....

https://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilit ... ninstaller

Thank you Woody.

I got a solution make my FTDI be able to use now: I need plugged in another module: 'AUTO Programmer USB - TTL ' which shown up in device manager as : CH340; and then after plugged FTDI that shown up as pictures.
Don't know why?
The funny thing is as long as unplugged 'AUTO ....' , both of them disappeared from device manager.

Weird!

Run FTProg when you have both plugged in and see if the FTDI lead is detected.

All the counterfeit FTDI chips report the same serial number: A50285BI
...and yours has this number.

I suspect Windows or FTDI have found a way to prevent the Serial Port actually showing or being recognised.

Thanks.
Seems the chips matter.
But my FTDI worked some day when I posted picture here, the problem now I can guess the reason resulted is I made a wrong wiring when I try to upload sketch to a Pro Mini, I wired the Pro Mini's GND to the CTS of the FTDI.

Anyway, I can use it as is for now.
Best.

OK...But note that you WILL NOT be able to invert the TX and RX with FTProg and use them for programming Curtis controllers .... as fake chips do not program correctly.

Thanks.
Do you means even a new functional FTDI board like I have can't do program correctly? because I ordered another one already. Do I need order a true chip board? do you have a link of it?

I saw a youtube, what he doing there, can he change the feature of the board?

IF your intend to use those boards for CURTIS ( 1314 software ) they will NOT work ... they should work just fine for Penny & Giles.

In my experience ....the TX and RX WILL NOT STAY INVERTED....You can do much the same in FTProg as he is showing in MProg

B.T.W ..Check your messages on this forum.

Thank you very much Woody.

I used the connector as picture which was built under your help, to do the program of 1314, and FTDI board just for VR2.

OK... Your pic shows the CANBUS Version.

However.... Some CURTIS controllers like the 1228 , program with inverted TX and RX via a 4 pin molex .... this can be done if you are using a genuine FTDI chip.

The enAble40 also programs with a similar plug to the CANBUS version that you have for the enAble50 ... but uses inverted TX and RX as opposed to CAN-L and CAN-H.

Thanks.
As you mentioned CANBUS, I tried a while try to analysis the CAN signal, want to directly hook my interface into a chair and get rid of the Joystick, never good, are the chars used CAN? I didn't think it so difficult because some chair can use two Joysticks parallel.
