Joystick Issue

Postby segreen » 06 Jul 2020, 17:41

Hi Guys. Got an issue with my Dynamics DX2-REM 440 Controller. When I pust the joystick fully forward nothing happens. When I push it half-way forward, chair moves. When I push the joystick fully back, chair moves. Any ideas whats wrong? Is it a programming issue or a joystick problem?

Thanks Steve

Any led's flashing that might suggest the joystick signal is in error or out of range?

Sounds like either a bad stick / controller or a calibration issue....

When you say 'chair moves', does it move the amount / in the way you'd normally expect from putting the joystick in a given position, or is it generally weird?

If you have programming access, I'd try running the joystick calibration routine as an initial 'low cost / low effort' thing to try first, and if that doesn't help, consider trying to replace the joystick pod...

It doesn't sound like wiring since the chair does move, and probably not the motor controller if the chair moves normally in the range of the joystick that works... leaves the pod or joystick as the most likely suspects...

Thanks for your replies guys. I've just swapped the joystick with a spare one and everything is working okay with the spare joystick. I think the original joystick needs to go back to Dynamics to be repaired.
Thanks again.
