I'm an engineer/engineer student from Finland. I've never been doing an engineering Job, but I've watched life of people with disabilities closely in my job as personal assistant for them. As an engineer, you see lots of things in wheelchairs to be updated into 2020s, but still none seems to do those things and I cannot but wonder why...
So, I now have an old Invacare Storm 3, which I will 3D-model, and start to make changes into 3D-model and test the changes virtually. Goal is clear to me, I want to make a wheelchair, that enables tetraplegic people to do "up & go", in the morning without other human beings intervention. Goal is to make wheelchair enable that on it's own and I already have some ideas I will test when model is done. Nobody should be disintegrated from society just because some parts of them don't work as initially expected...
I'm also open for idea if someone is willing to share them, teknologies or user needs to be fulfilled.
