I'm James

Hey Everyone I'm James,
I stumbled across wheelchairdriver.com looking for how to connect a solar panel to my aunt's jazzy powerchair. We both live in Maine in the United States so I'm sure I'll have to be careful with some differences in plugs and outlets when looking at things. I'm a 36 year old automotive student at a local community college and she's a 67 year old retiree. An upcoming trip to Walt Disney World got me to look into a second set of batteries and a secondary wire to test the voltage as I've heard too many things about false readings from those onboard displays. I'll head to the other conversations and see what I can find about solar panels and meters for remaining juice.

The onboard display is a voltmeter and they are inaccurate because of the nature of lead-acid batteries - any voltmeter you add will have the same or worse inaccuracy.
