Hello from Ireland

Postby halloween14 » 13 Jul 2017, 23:37

Hi, everyone! I'm Steve, and I am the able bodied carer for my wife Diane. She has a few chairs revolutionizing her life at the moment, her daily driver is an Invacare Dragon, her first powerchair and to say she loves it would be an understatement. She also uses an RGK Hi-Lite Titanium manual chair and we have just bought an elderly Invacare storm 3 to make into an outdoor chair / emergency backup chair. I've been reading the wheelchairdriver pages for a few days now and am loving it. As an old apprentice trained mechanical engineer, I am itching to get started down the modification route.

We live near the west coast of Ireland having moved here from Leeds in 2005 and unfortunately this puts us just about as far from useful shops and contacts as its possible to be. Don't get me wrong, we love it here, but if it wasn't for eBay, we'd be using a donkey and cart.

Anyhoo, I hope to chat with you all soon and hope to learn a lot

Cheers
Steve :D
