Dalek build

Postby Doppellganger » 11 Sep 2017, 12:31

Hi to everyone on this forum, my name is Clive

I am nearing completion of a full size Dalek using a Pride Jet 7 electric wheelchair.
I have been looking at buying a Quantum PG Drives Penny Giles wheelchair programmer PP1C
in order to increase its current speed from 4mph to 10mph and also wondering if there was any
type of plug in unit to help me remotely control it as i am currently using a series of servos and
push rods to do so.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Clive

Programming wont increase speed. 4mph is it.

Thats just a slow chair. Servos are a dangerous and unreliable way to get a runaway!

So yes, theres a few ways to safely use RC. Theres a pinned thread at the top of the forum.

Many thanks for getting back to me and your advice is much appreciated.
I have fitted fail safes inline to try and stop any possible runaway through
loss of signal and your absolutely right about having to be carefull
when trying to control in this way.Having posted on your site for the
first time i will have to find your pinned thread at the top of the forum.

Many thanks Clive
