Hello from California

Postby Ray Frank » 25 Sep 2017, 23:43

Hi folks,

I'm a 71 year old, 25 stone, man living in Davis, California. Advancing arthritis has made finding a suitable conveyance a high priority. Like the rest of you, I've found that there are no available chairs that are really suited to the job.

While your approach to creating your own better chair is exciting, I'm not an engineer/designer. Actually, I'm a musician and would love to find help to ease me through the process. Perhaps there's a kit with all the parts and comprehensive, step-by-step instructions and suited to the American power grid? I have access to a shop and it would be possible if my hands were held while going through the build.

Looking forward to the journey,
Ray

You would probably do best by buying a new or used magic mobility X5 or newer V6 chairs to get you started so you know what you want from there on.
