I just found this site a couple of days ago and I am swimming through as much information as can. I currently live in Fort Collins CO and have been in a power chair since April. I was diagnosed with ALS in December of last year. My symptoms started in spring of 2016 with left arm and hand weakness. Currently I have very limited function in my left arm and leg. I can still use a mouse with my right hand but typing is pretty tough so I have an eye gaze system on my computer. it is slow but faster than me trying to type. also I was using dragon for speech to text but that's getting more difficult.
I keep myself busy by watching lots of Netflix and designing and 3D printing parts for my chair. I am in a permobil m3 which has suited me pretty well. I found this site looking for tire alternatives for my chair. specifically I want to go tubeless.
when I get a chance I will post some of my designs.
edit: I forgot to mention that I am an electrical engineer by training and a software developer by trade.
