Good evening, after a bit of messing I have managed to get registered on the forum.

Interesting reading and I am learning a lot as I browse.

After reading all the posts on cable manufacturing issues I think I will opt for the easy way out and ask if I can buy one ready made and known working? Please PM me on my options.

I have a Salsa M with a VR2 controller that I want to use as a power plant for a project and have some special requirement I will get into later in a proper thread.

I was test driving the Salsa on the road to day and it peaked at 6.5 mph which I thought was good as I was expecting to get only get 4 and a bit mph.

The next thing I need is some software to poke the controller before I start ripping it apart to graft it into my project.

Can you guys help with some suitable software to assist me?

I was going to upload a picture but the 356kb limit stopped me dead, need to adjust the camera pixel count for smaller file size! :eh:

Hi John,

Welcome aboard! Do you have the programming cable that connects the VR2 to your PC? See PM for software link.

Hi Steve

Thank you for the welcome.

I do not have a cable, I was hoping I could purchase one from a forum member.

There appears to be a few issues either buying the right cable and getting the correct colour coded wires in the right places.

Happy to pay for a proven cable then its one less unknown at this early stage of the game.
