Storage Packs

Postby Toro » 08 Apr 2021, 09:20

I'm looking for a compact look for storage on the back of my wheelchair. I'm not needing a backpack all the time though I do need room to bring essentials with me when on the go... any suggestions?

Burgerman the ones you have on your BM3 look ideal... what exactly are they called or labelled as to search for under? They look a little like camera bags?

Cheers

Dont remember. I had 6 at one time. They came from a small shop that was for camping and hyking. I could do with some more as they are all destroyed after years of use.

Maybe type hyking or bike bags or something into a search engine. A real search engine and not a marketing tool like google.

Something like this... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Front-Tube-F ... 2750088684

Theres hundreds of different ones. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=hyking ... &ia=images

I use a waterproof hiking bag on the back that can be filled as and when but I use this type bag under the front for essentials. I take out the cardboard base in the bag to stop tilt and recline catching it. It loses its shape a bit but you can't see it between my legs anyway and it still works.

I think he means these on the back of my chair. Each is big enough for 2 bog roll and a few bits. Maybe a pint glass or something of the same height and about 1.5 times as wide.

Yep those are the ones Burgerman, they are nice, neat and compact... having a full backpack swinging around especially when tilting can be annoying.

I found a couple of chest bags that will work though will need a bit of sewing done to fit how I want them... mum's got a friend that's a seamstress... lucky for older generations lol

Yes, I know he mentioned those but alternatives don't harm, it's how I've found things in the past. Those bags look great on your chair but I wouldn't be able to access them.
