Scooter/bicyclo

Postby PelaMartinez » 11 Sep 2015, 00:12

I have to build a scooter/bicyclo with my son 13 years old:

- 1 electronic VR2/90A (controller + joystick)
- only ONE motor 24VDC 500W 4600RPM
- 2 Batteries 12V 50Ah
- 2 Wheels 14"
- software & cable PGDT programming
- a lot of tubes... and great enthusiasm for working together

Our big doubts are ... with programming or using some bridge, the VR2 will work with only one motor? could make it work with only one 12V battery?

Tips and suggestions are welcome ;-D

It will only work with one motor.

Sell on ebay, buy a scooter controller.

Non of the usual powerchair or scooter controller will work with one battery.

@Burgerman Thinking about future projects... How could I use the controller without joystick lights error code? (fool absence of an unconnected motor)

You can connect a resistor to the BRAKE to fool it. You need a very low value resistor to make the controller think theres a motor on the two main motor wires. It will be big, get hot, waste power. Not very practical. Why not use a scooter or hobby controller?

But you can sell your unsuitable one for more than a scooter one will cost you. Ebay.
