Why do hamsters in a ball always park between the front and back wheels of a powerchair?

We've had several hammies here over the last few years and they have all survived the powerchairs. A few close calls though.

Maybe they are trying to get away from the guy with the duct tape :?: :?:  :P

(remembering the old UseNet group "alt.sex.bestiality.hamsters.ducttape") (and no, I did NOT read it on a regular basis!)

Over here that stuff is now called duck tape and sold in supermarkets as such. Most people dont realise it was for taping heat/vent ducts together! And they think I am mad.

Wonder why its now Duck? Oh no...

I've found that if you take an air canister and sneak up on a loose hamster on a wheelchair seat they can do quite a good lemming impression.

One of the brands of the original was "Duck" with a picture of a yellow cartoon duck on the label, and the name became generic...

Star Wars fans all know that it is what they were referring to when talking about "The Force" - after all the stuff has a light side and a dark side, and holds the universe together....

In actual modern practice, one of the few applications where duct tape is considered totally unacceptable is for taping ductwork.... The changing air pressures in a duct system, plus the heat tend to rapidly dry out the tape and cause it to flex, leading to joint failure and air leakage. You are supposed to use a special sealing mastic tape for duct applications - looks sort of like tin foil with an asphalt glue....
