Every time someone asks about the cost of turning the lights on on TV our stupid politicians say we need MORE "renewables"... They are so thick it beggars belief. They say renewable power is cheaper than oil and gas. Well it is. VERY slightly. Because we are ignoring 200 years worth of cheap gas, and oil under our feet. And in the seas around britain. And buying it from a rediculously overpriced world market. In BOATS from around the planet...

Every time they say that renewables CAN supply up to 35% of our energy needs they ignore the blindingly obvious.

And that most of the time it just doesent!
Today is a typical example... See below. Wind isnt even producing 0.5% of our needs and solar is about as good. In spite of the 100s of billions that the renewables have cost us in subsidies and taxation to get built. We now lead the world in renewable energy and thousands of square miles of windmills surounding our islands. And the lot of them are doing absolutely fuck all.

How do the green net zero fanatics expect this to charge 49 million ELECTRIC cars, 6 million trucks, all the industry needs including heavy hitters like steel and others. As well as throwing out all of our gas central heating and converting to heat pumps?

What do they suppose is keeping the lights on? This country has massive economic problems mostly because of the NET ZERO bulshit religion. This is pushed by every media, every politician, every possible means. From schools of 4 year old onwards. And its all bollox.
